A source told the Daily Star newspaper:
"The film is based on a graphic novel about the young son of a god who leaves his mountain-top home to fight monsters.
"It's being produced by Brad's Plan B production company. Maddox lives, eats and breathes movies and comic books, so Brad and Angelina thought he would be perfect for the starring role."
The graphic novel was written and illustrated by Paul Pope, and the script is being written by
Watchmen co-writer, Alex Tse. The story sounds like a mix of
Percy Jackson and
Clash of the Titans. I will expect plenty of annoyingly bad child acting mixed with hysterically poor cgi monsters. Sounds like a winner.
Let's call it like it is. Daddy Brad Pitt owns a production company and his son wants to make a movie where he is a superhero. Thus Brad scoops up some silly graphic novel that centers on a child protagonist and that's his birthday gift. I got G.I. Joe toys for my birthday, this kid gets a movie. Jealous? Oh yeah. It's not like talent should be rewarded, this is the real world. One negative for Maddox, he'll never date a woman as good looking as his mom and that's a Freudian nightmare.
