Harrison Ford Once Again Expresses Interest In Returning As INDIANA JONES

The 71-year-old actor is getting in shape to return as 'Han Solo' in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII, but what about his OTHER iconic big screen role? Well, as it turns out, Harrison Ford is still keen for Indiana Jones to have another adventure. Check it out!

Talking to The Telegraph recently, Ender's Game star Harrison Ford has expressed interest in returning as Indiana Jones in a fifth instalment of the franchise. While that has been discussed before now, the movie doesn't seem to have gotten any further than that; a surprise considering the fact that the critically divisive Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull made a whopping $800 million on a $185 million budget. "We've seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it's perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie around him where he doesn't necessarily have to kick as much ass," he told the site. "To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive. That I can do." What do you guys think? Should Ford reprise the role?

As long as it isn't forced. That's what i disliked about Indy 4...everything seemed forced. Even the way Mr.Ford portrayed the "i'm grumpy because i'm getting too old for this shit" seemed very forced.

Only if they go with practical effects this time around. Not some CGI monkey shit.

And get the story right this time around. Bermuda Triangle ?
Kingdom of Atlantis ?

Not sure if I wanna see aliens again.

As long as Kathleen Kennedy is in charge of it, and George Lucas has nothing to do with it.

And that one joke ... Yeah, that was a funny one.
Perhaps the only one in this movie.

The effects ! CGI rocked ! That flying monkeys ... SHIT ...

overall 3/10

It wasn't that good but I liked seeing Indiana Jones again. Get him back to his roots and find someone to pass the mantle to. Not Even Stevens

@Nubase While I agree that I prefer practical f/x the 3rd movie did have CGI. The zeppelin was some of ILM's first CGI f/x if I recall correctly.

Does Disney own the Indiana Jones franchise? I know with them owning Star Wars which is part of LucasFilm, I wonder if that was included as well....

Time for Harrison to wake and stop the action movies. I saw Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and was very disappointed. I'd rather see a reboot with a new young actor than him in the role.

No, the character is done. As bad as that last one was, it still left Indy in a good spot to retire: a family. If nothing else, I liked how it wrapped his story up. Let's keep it that way.

Ford will be close to 75 if they actually make the film! C'mon, Harrison, have some dignity. Leave the character alone and move on with other roles.

Its owned by Disney now so it'll get rebooted into some toy selling franchise with a Saturday morning cartoon and everything at some point just like Star Wars. Unfortunately Harrison Fords time as Indy is well and truly done.

Crystal Skull was alright. I'd like to see more movies be a bit more grounded than all the CGI nowadays.

After Harrison Ford reprises his role as an old azz Han Solo he'll injure his fragile body on the set of Star Wars and be tied down the rest of his career in bed bathing in Ben Gay........that is all.

I'm up for this even though KOTCS was a terrible outing. All is ask is don't make it another father and son team-up movie. Keep Shia Labeouf away from the franchise.

Have Indy go on one last big adventure before he hangs up the fedora and whip. I think that's a good way to retire the character.

I don't want to see Indiana Jones get rebooted, but it's probably going to happen... I don't see Disney letting a franchise as popular as Indiana Jones just sitting on their shelf. I would be happy if they continued the Indiana Jones franchise in the form of AAA video games. No need to reboot the movies to make money.

Now if they were to set the next one several years later with an older and happily married indy looking to get out of the life...and pass on the mantle to his son (recasted of course) he and his son could look for the kingdom of atlantis, stuff happens, indy realises on the way he cant quite cut it anymore and his son does alot of the things young indy did...perfect way to continue the franchise with indy as a mentor figure.
