It's been announced that a sequel to the action thriller starring Angelina Jolie, Salt, is being in development, with Jolie and scribe Kurt Wimmer confirmed to be returning. However, the film needs a director since Phillip Noyce, who directed the first film, said back in December that he will not return for the sequel. Movie Web has the following info...

The studio has hired Kurt Wimmer, who wrote the original Salt, to write the sequel screenplay. While Angelina Jolie has not officially signed on for the sequel, the actress will likely return if the script comes together in the right way. Back in August, we reported that Angelina Jolie expressed interest in returning for a Salt sequel.

Phillip Noyce directed Salt, although he revealed back in December he would not direct a Salt sequel.

So do you want to see a sequel to Salt? Anyways, the currently untitled sequel has no release date as of yet.
