With The Dark Knight Trilogy and sci-fi epics like Inception and Interstellar under his belt, Christopher Nolan's next movie has finally been revealed, and it's a little more grounded than those. However, the cast he's putting together sounds like his best yet...
Unfortunatelty, Christopher Nolan's next movie isn't one we'll likely cover that often here on CBM, but it does sound like it will be every bit as great as those we have. Following some very interesting rumours over the weekend, Variety has revealed that The Dark Knight director will be taking the helm of Dunkirk from his own original screenplay. The World War II epic is apparently, "set during the legendary evacuation of the northern French city during WWII" and will be shot in France next year on a combination of IMAX 65m and 65mm large format film. It's currently set to be released on July 21st, 2017. Here's where things get really interesting though; while Nolan is looking for unknowns to lead the cast (he's already been testing teenagers in London), the adult supporting players look set to be made up of names like Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies), Kenneth Branagh (Jack Ryan), and Tom Hardy (The Revenant). Something tells me that this is going to be awesome...
