Madison Davenport has reportedly joined the impressive cast assembled for Darren Aronofsky's Noah. Davenport (15) will portray Na’el (Na’eltama’uk was the wife of Ham) which will presumably see the young actress sharing plenty of screen time with Logan Lerman. The film already boasts a cast of Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins Kevin Durand, Lerman, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson. The Paramount Pictures film is currently set for a March 28, 2014 release.

What makes this film interesting is that Aronofsky actually created a graphic novel based on his ideas for the film in order to get the project greenlit.

Would love to read the Graphic Novel, the art looks interesting and gritty, seems like Aronofsky is thinking outside the box with this one, should be interesting.

I cant wait to see this film and my main reason is that Aronofsky isnt making this the traditional way.

I'm curious about this movie. If they don't make into some sort of "go green propagandist" film then I'll be happy, but I am worried about the whole thing too. As long as it doesn't deviate from the original source and respects it I'll be happy. "Passion of the Christ" and "Ten Commandments" deviated a little from the source by adding things, but overall respected the Bible and the stories.

As long as this doesn't turn into that horrid "Noah" movie NBC did years back with Jon Voight or those Jesus films both NBC and CBS did. Those REALLY deviated from the Bible.

I bet the flood scene is going to look insane. For anyone who saw Hereafter, imagine the Tsunami scene, but over the entire world.

I wouldn't expect a Christian take on this material since Darren Aronofsky is Jewish (Logan Lerman is Jewish, too).

From what I know so far, it will keep the main core of the story with a lot of story telling deviations and artistic license, It should be interesting, because the story is very gritty even in the Bible, hopefully he tells the entire story even the not so nice parts with Noah.

Excited for this movie, nervous on how accurate to the Biblical account it will be, disappointed that they got all white actors to play the family who, in the account, sire humanity as we now know it. Whether people believe in the historicity of it or not is beside my point; Noah's son Ham is described as the forefather of the Egyptians, Ethiopians, some Arabians, Canaanites, etc., and Japheth the father of the Persians, Indians, Greeks, Europeans in general, Orientals, whereas Shem is the father of the Semitic races. So how in the hell would we get an all-European-looking cast for these people? Having said that, it is as they have always done in cinema with these kinds of films, putting very little imagination into it in these basic aspects, and what is more...I kind of love this cast.

Are you saying Noah should have sons of different races with the same woman?

Jennifer Connelly is "half Jewish". Logan Lerman is entirely Jewish. Surely they would be ideal actors for an Old Testament movie? Jews wrote the Old Testament.

Can't speak for all the Australian/British/New Zealand actors in the cast, but, you know, it happens.

Number1 It doesn't matter if there are Jews..Noah wasn't a Jew, Jews are the decendants of Jacob's son Judah

Number 2 Jews didn't write Genesis, Moses did...Moses was a Levite, he did not descend from Judah

Number 3 the Jews you see today have not descended from the biblical Jews, They have descended from Europeans

Number 4 If Noah was European looking, where did the blacks of Africa and Middle East come from, if dark skin is the dominant gene, that all people descended from?
