Marvel TV Boss Jeph Loeb Offers A Lame Excuse For Why Avengers Tower Is Never Seen On The Small Screen
For some reason, we've never seen Avengers Tower in any of Marvel's Netflix TV shows and now Jeph Loeb has offered an explanation as to why and it's far from convincing. In fact, it's downright laughable!
Well, Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb has now shed some light on why that is and his explanation is unconvincing, to say the least. The reality is that there's a huge divide between the movie and television departments and that we might as well accept now that these shows aren't in the MCU.
"I think it’s much more that we look at it from the point of view of “where are we?” and having to establish that along the way. In many ways, being less specific helps the audience understand that this could be on any street corner. Where we’re sitting right now, I can see the Empire State Building, but if we were sitting 30 blocks that way, I wouldn’t be able to see the Empire State Building. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It just means that we can’t see it from where we are."
That's a pretty ridiculous explanation and one which isn't remotely convincing! The fact is, Marvel Studios has made no effort to bring characters like Daredevil and Luke Cage to the big screen - they could easily make a cameo appearance in Avengers: Infinity War - and the TV division clearly isn't clued in on what's on the way on the big screen as the shows never reflect events like the Sokovia Accords.
