Now, before any of you blow a gasket, let me get this out of the way. I don't want any complaints about this not being a comic book:
Moving on to the actual story, The Examiner has heard from an anonymous source that Beavis and Butthead creator Mike Judge is in the process of outlining and writing as many as 30 new episodes of the not-so-dynamic duo for MTV. However, plans for actually airing the episodes have not been nailed down as yet. The "Office Space" creator is hoping for a full-fledged return for the series.
Fans will also be delighted to know, assuming these plans come to fruition, that Judge is planning on keeping the same style of animation, as well as the sketch/video/sketch format of the previous episodes. Obviously, they would be using more up to date videos.
And should MTV be dumb enough to pass on this idea (which I would not put it past them), it would not be surprising to see these episodes end up on Judge's own website or aired via an online partner.
ecksmanfan: I really hope this happens. Besides the fact that these two are hilarious, it might actually make MTV somewhat watchable again. Here's to hopin'!
Update: DarkHorizons.com is reporting that Mike Judge has confirmed that he is indeed working on 30 new episodes.
