The recently released Incredibles 2 teaser trailer, which shows off Jack-Jack's impressive power set, has just hit a massive milestone. According to Entertainment weekly, the teaser has collected over 113 million views since its debut on Sunday, which makes it the most viewed movie trailer for an animated film ever and also the seventh highest viewed trailer of all time.

Incredibles 2 finally brings back the family of superheroes after a 14 year-wait and is said to take place right after the first film with the Parr's discovering Jack-Jack's newfound abilities, as Elastigirl goes on her own adventure whilst Mr.Incredible becomes the stay at home dad. The family and pal Frozone will also need to band together again to take on an all-new villain.

With these kind of numbers for a teaser trailer, we should expect Incredibles 2 to be a massive hit for Pixar and Walt Disney Pictures when the film lands in theatres June 15, 2018

Been waiting a long time for this movie to happen, and I'm so happy it finally is.

Didn't watch it. I'm going in as blind as possible on this one.

I was hoping they would age them in real time and have the kids be grown now. It would have been a great dynamic but I guess they were afraid it would be too much of a disconnect from the original.

@smgmayhem -
Can see them doing that for the third movie, which they would probably rush into cinema's for 2020.

Second film to basically re-assure fans that they can do a sequel and get the new childhood audience hooked - then bring out Incredibles 3 with a plot that basically mirrors the first movie and hits an emotional core

@Scarilian - That would be sweet but I remember seeing an article that stated they would no longer do sequels moving forward with the exception of what has been announced so far. But I guess that can change after they see the reception this one gets.

@smgmayhem -

The interview was from July 2016 and stated 'at that time' that from June 7, 2019 they had no plans for sequels to prior movies

Incredibles 2 - June 15, 2018
Toy Story 4 - June 21, 2019

I doubt they will end the Incredibles series with just two movies, and i expect they will do an 'Inside Out' sequel at some stage also.

@Scarilian - If they do I hope they keep Brad Bird.

Was not really a memorable teaser trailer honestly - not really interested in 'Super powered baby being silly' - more interested in the family dynamic now that the rest of them are heroes again.

Plus I'm not sure how people will react if/when they eventually do a time skip and have 'Jack-Jack' become the new villain for either Incredibles 2 or Incredibles 3 - personally think it would work well and help mirror the first movie's idea of Mr Incredible messing up as a mentor figure and having to face off against someone he has let-down.

In this case it could be him messing up as a parent leads to an estranged relationship with his son resulting in 'Jack-Jack' becoming a villain/anti-hero during teenage years and Mr Incredible having to go and stop him.

Pixar has been letting me down as of late so I'm hoping this and Coco really deliver. Everything since Toy Story 3 with the exception of Inside Out has been a disappointment

@Ben4 - I've seen Coco and it's incredible! If you loved Inside Out, you're definitely going to love this!

@Trumpool - That's good to hear, the theater I work at had some weird official Disney screening that I was very upset I couldn't attend (I snuck in a couple of times to do "theater checks" though. And everyone I spoke to that saw it loved it. I'm going tonight, so hopefully it's as great as I've heard!

It's not like it was anything special to be honest. Nothing that super.
