Trained to kill, she exacts street justice against the detective’s chosen targets, until she is able to break free of the abusive and manipulative control he has over her.

I was gonna call this some kind of inexplicable new low for Sam Jackson and close the tab early. But I gave the clips some time and the story began to grow on me. This is a movie I will see this year!

so...the elevator scene was a rough translation of the original except having her as a drugged out clubbed kid instead of a dumb, submissive schoolgirl...I can feel okay with that.

The Bathroom scene was better put to celluloid in the No Doubt video for the song "Ex-Girlfriend" but at least they included the anime's idea that being kicked in the nuts produces copious amounts of vomit.

Exploding bullets are still there...good.

Doubt Jackson will put himself through the sex scenes with the girl or the other homeless girl towards the end of the movie and his Wall-Eyed friend that works with him is nowhere to be seen.

Of course I've only seen the movie and not the series that was most likely more tame.

Gonna go watch my Umetsu's cut of his other anime "Mezzo Forte" and have some me-time. ;)

From what we have seen...I am pleased to see Sam L not molesting or raping the girl...or any girl for that matter!

@ Kyos

I don't know. I went to the movies to see the Spike Lee OLD BOY and then I watched the original one on netflix to comapre. The movie was just as messed up as the original. I think this movie will only be as messed up as the American version of Kite and not the Japanese version. They are probably going to change the age of the characters and put them in there 20's.

I'm all for film adaptions sticking to the source material as closely as possible, I don't think I could've taken Sam Jackson molesting little girls. Seriously. Good job for taking that out.

That being sad, a lot of those scenes were taken straight outta the anime. Good job.

the only thing more wrong than this adaption is the bullshit outta Samuel Lard Jackson's mouth, there was no kite manga, it was written as the film/ova

I wonder if he'll creampie an underage girl in this version.

I really wanted to like this movie, but all I could see was how bad of an actress she is.

Ok, what part of this pile of crap looks good? The acting is SO incredibly bad!! As some earlier commenter said, £3.99p bin, although even that is too much to pay to watch this..

Can't remember the last time I've seen acting this bad, looks awful. Also funny Jackson says he is a fan of something that never existed (Kite manga.)
