ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: Take A Closer Look At Hope Van Dyne's Superhero Suit With These Hot Toys Images

Ant-Man and The Wasp looks set to be the sleeper hit of the summer and one of the biggest draws is undoubtedly seeing The Wasp finally appear on the big screen. We caught a brief glimpse of Janet Van Dyne in action in the first instalment but her daughter Hope will take centre stage in the sequel when she gets top billing alongside Ant-Man. Needless to say, it's about damn time she gets the spotlight!

Her costume has been the subject of much debate thanks to the design at the front (we're sure you know what we're talking about) but a new Hot Toys figure provides a closer look at her new suit.

The Wasp figure includes two interchangeable heads featuring a newly developed head sculpt with detailed pony tail and a completely new helmeted head sculpt with LED light-up function that bears a high resemblance of a closed helmet showing part of Wasp’s face, two pairs of interchangeable Wasp’s wings including a pair of stand by wings and a pair of articulated wings for varies flying poses, a striking brand new Wasp suit, a Wasp miniature figure, two disc equipment, an opened helmet accessory attachable to the back of figure, and a specially designed dynamic figure stand with backdrop.

@Spock0Clock - Is it crazy to say I am in love with the MCU Wasp already?

@SonOfAGif - I've been so jazzed for her since Lilly was cast. I'm going to be devastated if I don't end up liking what they do with her.

You can really see the yellow on her suit in the grey 'mesh' area. Lookin' good!

I wonder if Hank & Janet will be getting Hot Toys of their old costumes...?

I still think it could use more brighter colors like the Ant-Man stinger (huehuehue)

I'm getting exited for this. I'm loving just how much this film is embracing the fun sci-fi tone of comics. I hope we see these guys shoe up in a sequel.

I'm glad her wings are not organic like in the 616. Supposedly in the 616, Jan has tiny wings grafted to her back that are still there and tiny when she grows–which is the most off putting idea ever.

@Invasion96 - You have no idea. It’s so disappointing because they spend all these issues hyping it up only for it to end like that. They could have focused their storytelling on something else but no.

There are so many things I can't believe Marvel has done but making 'The Wasp' a badass leading lady who is likely to steal an entire feature film is probably right towards the top of the list.

This is why whenever someone claims Marvel are running out of characters I scoff. They are about to release their second Ant Man movie, and the Wasp is about to jump to the forefront of the MCU. You take the time to invest in the character, you make the audience love them and it doesn't matter who you're adapting.

I love the helmet, looks kickass. Don’t understand the choices made for the costume though. The bright yellow and black worked for yellowjacket, they could have adapted it from his suit. Not to mention those colours make her instantly iconic and evoke the inage of an actual wasp. Instead they went with navy blue and baby shit yellow/brown? Why? Still looks alright but why, what’s the point?

Something along the lines of these colours would have been so much better, and easy to do?
