AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM TV Spot Features New Footage Of The King Of Atlantis Facing Off With Black Manta

A TV spot for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been shared online, and while it's not the best quality, it does spotlight quite a bit of new footage from the upcoming sequel...

Though the quality is not great (it's actually pretty lousy, tbh, but we'll update as soon as an official version is released), a new TV spot for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has found its way online.

The promo reuses some footage from the recently-released trailer, but there are also quite a few new shots, including a brief but awesome glimpse of the King of Atlantis leaping into action against the villainous Black Manta.

The Lost Kingdom will be the final movie of the current DCEU era before James Gunn and Peter Safran relaunch the franchise with the DCU. We have heard conflicting reports about Momoa staying on as the aquatic hero, and there's a lot of speculation that the actor will actually take on a new role (most likely Lobo) down the line.

DC Comics seems to be having a bit of fun with this rumor, as you'll see from the panels below!

"Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.

All returning to the roles they originated, Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry/Aquaman, no, after w balancing his duties as both the King of Atlantis and a new father; Patrick Wilson is Orm, Aquaman’s half-brother and his nemesis, who must now step into a new role as his brother’s reluctant ally; Amber Heard is Mera, Atlantis’ Queen and mother of the heir to the throne; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Black Manta, committed more than ever to avenge his father’s death by destroying Aquaman, his family and Atlantis; and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, a fierce leader and mother with the heart of a warrior. Also reprising their roles are Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin."

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to swim into theaters on December 20.

CGI overload! It is sad that a $200 million plus film looks worse than the $80 million film The Creator.

@regularmovieguy - One of my favorite movies...why do you ask?

@Forthas

Was the CGI overload a problem for that movie or is it just every other CBM?

@Forthas - Yeah, lets compare The Creator to a movie with a setting under the [frick]ing water.

@regularmovieguy - The CGI in Man of Steel was excellent. So I guess I should qualify my statement an restate it as Bad CGI Overload.

@dragon316 - I don't think that is true. It was not that fake looking in Wakanda Forever.

I'm still convinced the Synder cult boosted the first movies profits. I haven't rewatched in years because it feels like three [frick]ing movies. It's so damn long and boring, really good cinematography at some points, but then there's Amber Turd lol GG sequel

I liked the first one. It had problems but it was fun. DC hasn’t made a good sequel in the past 10 years accept for The Suicide Squad. BvS, Shazam 2, and WW84 were subpar or just bad. Hope this one breaks the mold.
