AQUAMAN Concept Art And BTS Photos Feature Arthur Vs. Black Manta, Orm Unleashed, And More
With Aquaman now in theaters, some new concept art from the DC Comics adaptation has surfaced and characters like Arthur Curry, Orm, and Black Manta all receive the spotlight. Hit the jump to take a look!
Aquaman has finally arrived in North America and with positive reviews and a massive $300 million worldwide at the box office (already), things are looking good for the DC Comics movie.
Today, the "Art of" book for Aquaman went on sale and some pieces from that have started doing the rounds online. Below, you'll find some awesome shots of Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry along with some pivotal moments including his and Mera's battle with Black Manta and the gladiator fight in Atlantis.
I wouldn't say that there are any spoilers here as these moments have all been shown in the trailers but proceed with caution depending on how much you want to see beforehand.

This piece of concept art depicts a pivotal moment from the movie as Aquaman finally dons his comic book accurate costume. Warner Bros. bizarrely chose to spoil this scene in the trailers.
This piece of comic book artwork was clearly used as a basis for the movie but note that both Arthur and Mera are wearing very different costumes to the ones they had on during this sequence.
Atlantis really was a sight to behold on the big screen and easily as visually impressive as Asgard (an argument could actually be made that it looked better but I'll leave that up to you).
This artwork obviously depicts a young Arthur discovering his powers for the first time as he manages to communicate with the fish in an aquarium. He seems to be a fair bit older here, though.
Arthur and his half-brother Orm square off in this concept art, behind the scenes photo, and brand new still from Aquaman. It's awesome seeing the process of bringing this to life.
In one of the coolest scenes from the movie, Arthur emerges from the depths and lands on top of the submarine he just pulled from beneath the water. What follows next is an epic action sequence.
Many thanks to Slash Film and Screen Rant for this Aquaman concept art!
