Shirtless Photo Of AQUAMAN Star Jason Momoa Helps Girl Scout Sell Tons Of Boxes Of Samoas

Jason Momoa Samoas? A young Girl Scout in Colorado is a future marketing mogul in the making, using a photo of the shirtless Aquaman star to help sell boxes of Samoas cookies to some well-impressed moms...

Do you know what's more popular than Girl Scouts' Samoas cookies? Samoas that come out of a box with Aquaman star Jason Momoa's shirtless body plastered on it.

An adorable story has been making the rounds about a fifth-grade Girl Scout named Charlotte Holmberg who rebranded the classic cookie box with a photo of a shirtless Jason Momoa from Aquaman on it to help sell the already-addictive cookies.

The Colorado-based "Cookie CEO for the Girls - a title given to those who sell the most cookies - sold more than 2,000 boxes in 2018. But Holmberg, with the help of her mom (who also works in marketing), came up with the brilliant packaging rebrand to help up her game. And it's working.

According to an official post by the Girl Scouts of Colorado, the "Momoas" started as an "inside joke" with family and friends. However, like all clever ideas, it blew up once word got out and Holmberg quickly sold out of her supply of cookies.

"The moms are getting really excited and they're saying that they need them!" Charlotte told Denver's 9News. "The girls will wanna buy some because he's on the front. And the boys will also wanna buy some because he's like, he might be like they're favorite character."

Cookie season is still in full swing, but Holmberg is no longer using the image of Jason Momoa on any new boxes of Somoas, likely due to the legality issues that could arise.

While the story is definitely a heartwarming one, it should be noted that this was probably done without the approval of Jason Momoa. It's doubtful that he, or Warner Bros. or DC, will actually file for copyright infringement due to the bad optics, but the Girl Scouts should use this as an important teaching moment about the use of a person's likeness in business marketing.

@LaserKing - But when men use bikini photos of females as advertisement they are instantly called sexist and pigs. But it's ok for young girls to use a shirtless Male to sell cookies? The double standard is hysterical.

@SonOfAGif - I agree but I do like her creativity.

Only in 2019... let some boys sexualize a female celeb and they would be ostracized. This is acceptable because chicks look at Momoa as a sex symbol?

Yeah, it should be ok in both cases. But at least it's seen as ok in one I guess?

@Chuck420Taylor - hopefully this is with permission. Im sure he would, hes a cool dude about it. In general i dont think its right for anyone to sell pics of you without permission. Especially in a sexual manner like this.

@Nightwing1015 - not if its without permission. Thats the thing im upset with. Especially it being in a sexual manner like this. If it is with permission? Fine. Show that girl/guy all you want. But without is just wrong.

@Origame - You're right. But I think in this case it would be DC that would give permission. Not the actor. Because they own that image.

@Chuck420Taylor - There are lots of things for boys that have images of sexy women in and on them

@Chuck420Taylor - normally I wouldn't have clicked on an article like this but I came looking for this specific comment.

I knew there'd be at least one person offended by this, congrats.

@DnA - I think his point is that there wouldn't be articles about that in a positive light.

Well, sex sells.
As a dude, I have to admit I can see why the ladies like Jason.
So, that being said...has anyone a pack of these cookies with Amber's Mera on it?
I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
