Okay....Saw Avengers Age of Ultron.
Good movie. A LOT going on. I can see where some of the dumber movie critics can say there are too many heroes, but that's what it's supposed to be. If they think this has too much.....wait until they see Infinity Wars.
Ultra is created a bit too suddenly in my opinion, but once he is created the story settles into a groove.
Much like many hero movies, when you try to make everyone too powerful and cool it can be a bit hard for normal people to accept...but I like where they went with it.
*****SPOILER************
- We already know that everyone lives in Stark's new Avengers tower. And they are living the good life and kicking ass. With the creation of Ultron they lose that sweet lifestyle and are humbled quite a bit.
*****END SPOILER *************
- Spader has the electronic voice and he does a great job.
- Vision is awesome. I never expected what they did with him...there is something that helps control him...and I never saw it coming.
- The bit with Thor went a little fast, and I have to see it again to make sure I understand what happened there, but I think I understand.
- The critics complain about too many little witty comments and banter during battles. Nope...not a problem. A teeny bit at the very end of the battle....but it really wasn't anything that they haven't been doing all along.
- LOTS of action. Not hard to follow at all until the final battle, but that was only a bit chaotic.....but it was supposed to be. There is no other way to make it.
Loved the movie. It's setting the stage for the next phase, which I enjoyed.
Was it as fresh and fun as The Avengers? Nope. But it wasn't supposed to be. This is supposed to be an evolution of the team and the world around them.
It is a bit darker and more serious with just enough levity injected to make it not TOO serious.
Most of it takes place in other countries so that may make it feel strange and unfamiliar to American critics and audiences....but it is a smart choice.
The way things are supposed to go with Civil War, you have to show the presence of The Avengers all over the world.
Their global impact, I can easily see, would have some possible harsh repercussions from global governments.
Any of the theories about the trailers.....ALL wrong except for the ballet scene.
That was correctly guessed.
Thor in the pool of water......wrong. It was totally different than surmised.
A very fun movie overall. Better than The Avengers? Different.
Not better, not worse....different, but still very re-watchable.
Which do I like better...this or Winter Soldier.......... Winter Soldier.
That one is just written better, but this was a good movie.
Would I see it again. YES......and I have to because I know I missed some things in my first viewing.
There is a LOT going on in action, character development, dialogue and subplot. There needed to be.
I kind of would have liked the creation of Ultron to be started as a post credits scene in a previous movie, or have it started at the end of a previous film.
That's the only part that felt a bit rushed at the beginning.
But like is said, that ironed itself out more smoothly as we went forward.
No more spoilers. Fun movie. Enjoy.
