AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Still Reveals History Between 'Ulysses Klaue' And 'Black Panther'
We know that the Black Panther and Klaw have history in the comics, but now, thanks to a HD screenshot from Age of Ultron, we know more about the characters' connection in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well! Check it out with a minor SPOILER warning...
You would have to be eagle-eyed and a damned fast reader to pick up on this Easter egg! While the Avengers were rifling through files in Avengers: Age of Ultron, they stumble across a particular document relating to Ulysses Klaue, played by Andy Serkis. Shockingly, this file actually details a pretty major plot point for the upcoming Black Panther movie and possibly Captain America: Civil War. It looks as though, just like in the comics, Klaue will be directly responsible for the death of T'Chaka, the father of the current Black Panther, T'Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman. Just above the picture on the left (below) is a passage that details Klaue's assassination of T'Chaka. It also mentions him being a former member of the Intelligencia. In the comics, they're a group of intellectual villains with ties to the sciences. Villains such as The Leader and MODOK have been affiliated with the Intelligencia. Although it's unlikely that the group is as super villain heavy in the MCU as it is in the comics.
"Ulysses Klaue was an assassin hired to take down T'Chaka at the Bilderberg conference in the case that he refused to negotiate Wakanda's resources including Vibranium. But, Klaue was also there personally, as the Panther killed his great-grandfather in the 19th century while this one was trying to annex Wakanda. He was paid ten million dollars for the kill."
Pretty nifty, eh? When do you think we'll hear more about this assassination? Maybe it'll be brought up during Captain America: Civil War, or maybe we'll have to wait until Black Panther's own solo movie in 2018. Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section below!
