This seemed like a foregone conclusion, didn't it? We've heard from multiple scoopers that
Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers, aka Ms. Marvel, would appear in Joss Whedon's
Avengers: Age of Ultron. It was never confirmed, but in July it seemed to have more credence when Joss Whedon declared there were "four prominent female roles" in his upcoming comic book movie. Though, in the past every time Captain Marvel has been mentioned as being apart the film it is stressed that the part is just a cameo. Now, sources for
Devin Faraci of Badass Digest are reporting that Marvel Studios is second guessing that Captain Marvel cameo.

Set for release in the United States on May 1, 2015.
