DannRamm's Most Anticipated for the Rest of 2015

Here's just a list of the films I'm looking forward to for the last few months of the year. Please tell me what your most anticipated is!

So far this year has been a bit less exciting for movies.  We've had some good movies, some nice blockbusters, but if you look at previous years, 2015 has been a real let down.  But, keeping up with optimism, here are some movies that I am most looking forward to for the rest of the year, in no particular order...

1.  Spectre

I myself am a huge James Bond fan, and Daniel Craig is my favorite Bond actor for many reasons.  Admitedly I am a bit scared of whether or not this movie will end up great, with Craig's recent comments about the franchise, and some of the allegid production problems, but overall this movie is one of my most anticipated, and I am especially looking forward to Christoph Waltz, who seems bred to be a Bond villain.

2.  The Peanuts Movie

This franchise is timeless, and I always loved Charlie Brown.  If I were to list my top 20 favorite movies of all time, A Boy Named Charlie Brown would possibly make that cut.  That's why I don't view this movie as an abomination or an insult, just because it is a timeless property that can't kill my childhood, but possibly make another child's better.  I love the look and the feel, blending modern animation with the classic feel, so I am really looking forward to this movie.

3.  Legend

Tom Hardy is one of my favorite working actors today, and the premise is really interesting.  I love mob movies, so I am really looking forward to how this movie turns out, especially with it coming closer to Oscar Season.

4.  The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2

A lot of people are tough on this franchise, but I really think that The Hunger Games franchise is one of the exceptions to the rule that YA Novel Adaptations suck.  I really enjoy each movie, the cast has always been great, it is the final preformance of Phillip Seymore Hoffman.  I don't have the same hype as I did for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, but I really am anticipating this movie as being a great send off.

5.  Creed

I've always had a thing about boxing movies, because no matter how good they want to be, they almost always stick to the same formula.  I am interested in this movie, as the tone looks right, the preformances look great, and I always at least enjoy a boxing movie.  While there's basically nothing new that can be done, it's always a great experiance nonetheless.

6.  Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens

I've never been a Star Wars fan.  I know the lore and everything, and I appreciate what they've done for the Sci-Fi genre, but they've never really done it for me.  The second trailer is the one that sold me on this movie though.  It will be quite an experiance, and I am highly anticipating this movie.  Probably not to the same extent as some, but this movie I think will be good, and I am looking forward to it.

7.  Joy

I look forward to this movie every year.  The David O Russell-Jennifer Lawrence-Robert De Niro-Bradley Cooper team up movie.  Over the last few years O Russell has directed some of my favorite films for each of those years, from The Fighter, to Silver Linings Playbook, to American Hustle, he is one of my favorite working directors.  When I see this colaboration I know that this movie is going to be nominated for best picture, and that I will love watching it.

8.  The Hateful Eight

Tarantino, do I need to say more.  You just know this movie is going to be good, and I know so many people will be looking forward to this movie as well.

9.  The Revenant

This movie is my most anticipated honestly, and has been since the begining of the year.  Every film by director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu has been nominated Best Picture, with two of my favorite actors, Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hardy, in a movie that is just beautiful to look at.  This movie is probably going to be my favorite of the year, and I see almost no way for it to let me down.

So there's my most anticipated for the year.  Please leave your thoughts bellow on what you are looking forward to this year.  Peace Out.

Nice selection. I'm personally looking forward to Legend and Creed. Simply because I love gangster movies, and Creed just looks badass.

Star Wars just seems like such a lazy rehash of the old movies. I personally find Boyega to be an awful actor in general so this drops it even lower. Never understand why people liked attack the block (blegh) also the story lacks what the original had. A sense of innocence and naivety, which made the world seem that much more likeable, despite its generally dirty retro future setting. In all it just seems like a cash grab, and having every character in the movie be a different race makes it seem like power rangers set in the Star Wars Universe. Just no thanks. Everything else on the list I totally agree with nice article I gave it a thumb.
