Fan launches petition to bring the MCU version of Quicksilver back after years of backlash of Marvel Studios killing him off for Scarlet Witch's character development.

in May and October 2013, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson were cast as the twins-turned Avengers members known as Wanda and Pietro Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. But after just 2 films, Quicksilver was tragically killed by Ultron to save Hawkeye(Jeremy Renner) and a Sokovian boy. This caused tremendous amounts of outrage from fans and decided to campagin to bring Taylor-Johnson's version of Quicksilver back to life. Even Aaron Taylor Johnson said he would love to return as the character.

"Yeah, absolutely" the actor stated, however, he did not know of any plans to bring him back to the MCU. "I don't have any knowledge I could share with you if did". Recently, rumors arose that Quicksilver would return in Avengers: Endgame either through flashbacks or time travel.  When asked about this, the actor  responded, saying "It's not a conversation right now." After many years of trying to convince Marvel Studios that we want the character back so badly, I decided to create a peittion to revive him, so that Taylor-Johnson can fulfill his original contract with Marvel Studios.

"If future MCU films bring him back through time travel", the peittion states "they would re-release Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avenegrs 4 to have Quicksilver inserted into those films"

"These special releases would be similar to the original release, but have all-new  scenes featuring Aaron Taylor- Johnson as Quicksilver. This would help fulfill his original contract with Marvel because he actually had one than more Marvel film on his contract."

Do you think Quicksilver should be revived in the MCU? Please voice your opinions in the comments section.

@brodie999 - No. Just no. Let him RIP and keep cheap death as much out of the MCU as possible.

@brodie999 - the petition to bring him back is ok. To have him inserted in all the old movies is overkill and would only louse up the story logic, narrative and timing. (E.g. lets randomly add character x to a very complicated scene like the airport battle)
I vote no on this specific petition.

@JonC - After the timeline change, Quicksilver could decide he doesn’t really want to interact with the superheroes/super villains, and so the other movies remain exactly the same except there is an occasional, and very comicly timed, blur that shoots across the screen. -Like Tony Stark holding fallen Rhody in Civil War, when a blur shoots across the screen right before the scene ends.

@Rosraf -That's right. And when all the heroes run after the Outriders, he passes like a blur contrast to everyone else. He would do the same thing in Civil War when the two teams of Avengers run after each other. My theory suggests by the time of Infinity War, he would be fast enough to dodge bullets by reaching mach 4 and 5. He'd only get stronger like his sister. And he would create 3 clones of himself to kill some of the Outriders. And he'd have a rivalry with Vision about his love for Wanda because of the classic trope of overprotectiveness for sibling. Also, his famous catchphrase "you didn't see that coming" would also be mentioned with Scarlet Witch snarking "We both didn't see this coming" in Civil War, his last moments before being dusted by the Snap, saying "Well, I never saw that coming" and being brought back into existence, saying, "We all didn't see that coming".

I'm pretty sure this is the second time that you yourself have created a petition on Change.org and then immediately published an article claiming "fans" have created a petition, reporting it as if it's in some way news worthy.

That's kind of underhand and deceitful, and is made all the worse by the fact that your petitions are for incredibly dumb things that have zero chance of success.

I'd rather have Yondu back over Quicksilver any day.

I want him back too. Lots of untapped potential with the character.

@DnA - Agreed. I created a article about how different the MCU would be if he survived in Age of Ultron. Maybe a lot of this could actually happen for life if he comes back. https://www.comicbookmovie.com/marvel_studios/if-quicksliver-survived-the-events-of-avengers-age-of-ultron-a163796

The idea of the character has potential, but the reality is the MCU wasted him to the extent where even his death meant nothing in the overall story. Wanda had already betrayed Ultron because he planned to wipe out all life on Earth, she did not need her brother to die to get more motivation to stop/kill Ultron.

He is likely going to return to the MCU simply because Endgame will serve as a reset and they can tell more stories with Quicksilver alive than with him dead - for example 'Quicksilver joins with Magneto while Wanda does not'.

brodie999 - 1/26/2019, 8:58 PM
@Scarilian - Agreed. If they shot the ending where he survived in Age of Ultron, he would've joined Team Iron Man(taking a harder time to put aside his hatred for Tony Stark), object to Vision's feelings for Wanda due to his overprotective, have a falling out with Captain America about what's best for Wanda in Civil War and he'd be erased along with his sister and half of all life in Infinity War. By the time of Infinity War, he would be capable of reaching supersonic speeds between Mach 4 and 5(which would be fast enough for him to dodge a bullet) and try to attack Thanos by running around him in circles, creating a tornado, only for the Mad Titan to suck it into his Infinity Gauntlet and knock him out with the Power Stone.

@brodie999 - he’s there to protect her and she is there to protect him. They would likely be on the same team.

brodie999 - 1/27/2019, 5:12 PM
@JonC - Well, sometimes, having seperate personal beliefs splits brother and sister apart. That's why I thought if he survived, he would've joined Team Iron Man. Even the MCU page thinks he would. It'd be really interesting to see his part in Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame.

It should, but Endgame will ensure that none of the deaths will ever matter again.

@case - Yeah, that way people can act like he was never gone if that happened. We'd forget he ever died.
