So with this one tweet, Sir Robert Downey Jr. had us all guesing what will he be announcing March 5th?
New Age Of Ultron Trailer
The most likely in my eyes considering how this accompanies a poster for the aforementioned film. We still haven't seen much from this film, so there's still much that Marvel can show in a new trailer. Could we finally see The Vision? Will War Machine suit up once more? I understand that Marvel probably doesn't need to release another trailer, but one more with a few more money shots wouldn't hurt either.
Iron Man 4/Tony Appears In Another MCU film
Back when it was announced that Marvel had managed to bring RDJ into
Civil War, many assumed that there must have been something else as a part of the deal. They couldn't just have negotiated him to be a supporting character/antagonist(?) in a Captain America sequel. It's possible that he's elsewhere. Maybe he'll appear in both parts of
Infinity War? Maybe he'll join the Guardians of the Galaxy? Who knows really.
Of course, there's always Iron Man 4. Which has always been a case of 'when' not 'if'. It could be that Marvel has secretly been developing Iron Man 4, and that Tony has once again negotiated to play Tony in one more film.
Carol Danvers Casting
With Falcon, Peggy Carter, Helmdell, and Erik Selvig now all confirmed to be in
Age of Ultron, t would seem like the one rumored character not to be fully revealed is Carol Danvers. Now, personal conjecture, I don't think Carol will be Ms Marvel in Age Of Ultron if she appears. She'll probably appear without her abilites, costume, etc.
That said, it could be that we finally get confirmation that Carol is in the film. Especially with her solo film coming in a few years. I don't think it's entirely impossible that she could appear in both
Age Of Ultron and even
Civil War before her solo film. Especially with all the casting rumors, i would seem likely that this is more likely then Spider-Man who is still quite some ways away with Civil War. That said, this is all dependent on whether Carol is even in
Age of Ultron as speculated.
Spider-Man Casting
The popular theory. I think this has some weight to it, but that said I would imagine both Sony and Marvel are still working things out, and to imagine that they have an actor already for Spider-Man, and that they are ready to announce him ahead of
Civil War's film date seems absurd. It's still possible, and I would still freak out, but logistically I think we're still some ways out from official Spider-Man casting.
Partnership With Fox
The least likely, but I have to mention it only because of the precendent set by Sony. Also, if rumors are true and Fox is developing a sequel to The Wolverine as an adaption of Old Man Logan, I would think certain aspects would be needed. I mean, we're talking about a scene where Logan uses Iron Man's armor. That would certainly tie it into RDJ, and with no news on The Wolverine 2 for some time, I imagine we're due for an update sometime soon.
That's it for my two cents, what do you guys and girls think? Like, comment, and do whatever else you like. Because, freedom.
