Tim Roth Talks 'Abomination'; Was Considered To Reprise Role In AGE OF ULTRON

We haven't seen Abomination since 2008's The Incredible Hulk and now, Tim Roth (Pulp Ficition, Planet of the Apes) has spoken about reprising the role and the fact he may have been in the upcoming Avengers sequel...

With Avengers: Age of Ultron now a mere four or five months from release, this is sure to be the first of many little revelations that pop up throughout that time. In an interiew with craveonline, Abomination actor Tim Roth spoke about a possible return to the monstrous villain role and also the fact he was supposed to be in Age of Ultron
The actor spoke about other films he has worked on and talk turned to The Incredible Hulk. Roth speaks briefly about fan experiences and had this to say when he was asked about a possible return to the role of Emil Blonsky:

"They were going to do it. They did do that. They were thinking, in the Avengers two or something. There was a film we could do at that one point, but way back when. It just kinda got swept under the carpet I guess. That would be hilarious."

Would you like to see Roth eventually return to the role of Abomination somewhere down the line? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

"The Incredible Hulk" kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular super heroes of all time. In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk. Living in the shadows--cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler)--Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power. As all three grapple with the secrets that led to the Hulk's creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as the Abomination (Tim Roth), whose destructive strength exceeds even the Hulk's own. One scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside--The Incredible Hulk.

Abomination should definitely return! Even if it's just a cameo or one fight scene, it would be great to see Roth be a part of the MCU again.

I originally thought it could have been the Abomination going against the Hulkbuster in the leaked set videos, obviously not the case...

Aw man, if they could have found a way to bring him back, that would have been awesome.

Before Age of Ultron was officially announced, I was still hoping the second Avengers movie would be Masters of Evil or something.

Way back before Iron Man 3 came out and we were first hearing about Winter Soldier, and the possibility of Crossbones and Baron Zemo, I seriously thought it was what Marvel was building to. Man, even when Ultron was announced, I was still thinking they might include some of the other villains from Phase 2.

Don't get me wrong, Ultrons a killer villain, the movie looks awesome, and I can't wait for it to come out, but...I'd still love to see Abomination and these guys someday...

Marvel seriously needs to make an Indestructible Hulk movie. Such a great character, it's a shame he doesn't get to have a bigger presence in the MCU.

Need that Masters of Evil team, perhaps even an Intelligencia squad later on, but I'm 150.94% sure that will never happen, especially since Doom was on that roster.

Marvel needs to bring Roth back as the Abomination, and also needs to bring the Leader into the MCU.

Wait I'm confused?.. Why exactly do they Tim Roth? The Abomination wasn't motion captured was it? Or do they need him for the voice or something? I'm confused. Annndd I wouldn't be so fast to rule him out YET guys. We've still Got CIVIL WAR and both INFINITY WAR films for him to show up

@NovaCorpsFan- Oh so I guess there would somewhat be another appearance change from TIH cause I don't think there was Mocap in that movie. Also I thought his transformation would have been permanent

@SuperheroFan96- to me that always seemed to be something missing from the MCU. Reminds me of Cap trying to slow down the Hulk in the Ultimate Avengers animated movie (Super Soldier vs Monster). I think the MCU needs a bit more of that cause it was only teased in TIH imo

@0megaDaGod "TIH is EASILY the most underrated MCU movie".

I agree. I wish it had made more money. I really like that movie.

I wish Marvel would put another movie in development. They keep teasing us with characters from the Hulk world(Talbot, mention of Abomination on AOS, and Absorbing Man). Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if The Leader's name is mentioned in AOU or another Hulk villain appear on AOS( say Half-Life?)

If the rumors about Ross working with Stark in Civil War are true, Ross would definitely use the opportunity to release Blonsky. Have him hunt Cap and kill others under the radar. Damn. Hiring Blonsky and other villains will guilt Stark in the end of course.

I loved The Incredible Hulk. Would love for Tim Roth to reprise the role. The script and story was great and that last fight was so sweet. One of the only 3 movies made by Marvel that is actually a good movie instead of just being funny to hide story problems.

This would've probably just been a cameo, but its way past time for a movie (apart from brief seconds of footage in Iron Man 2 and The Avengers) to acknowledge the events of The Incredible Hulk and finally make it feel like an actual MCU film.
