Avengers: Endgame kicked off with the reveal that Clint Barton's entire family was wiped from existence when Thanos snapped his fingers and unleashed the power of the Infinity Gauntlet. Five years later, the broken hero had become Ronin, embarking on a revenge mission of sorts by brutally killing the criminals he believed should have died instead of the people he loved.
After reuniting with Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Hawkeye wore his Ronin suit into battle. However, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park has now shared his take on an armoured suit the archer could have donned while attempting to put an end to the Mad Titan once and for all.
It's a cool look that incorporates some purple, but also gives Clint a little more protection while fighting the aliens Thanos unleashed on the site of the destroyed New Avengers Facility.
"Story was fluctuating and they wanted to see an option of him in a more high-tech-ish armored look (before they landed on going the Ronin route)," Park explains in the Instagram post below. "I did the same for Black Widow for her Endgame look. That one made it into the film."
In Hawkeye, the hero has donned a comic accurate suit clearly based on the one he wore during Matt Fraction and David Aja's comic book run. Still, it definitely would have been cool to see this in action.
