The new Infinity War trailer sure packed a punch not only did it give us a closer look at what Thanos has planned for humanity and the various team-ups and battles that are going to be unfolding it also hinted to a possible comic book storyline coming into fruition at the hands of Ebony Maw. During the trailer, we got a much better look at the members of Thanos's Black Order especially Ebony Maw who can be seen brutally torturing Doctor Strange, this torture will look very familiar to those who have read 2013's Infinity and will know how bad this could be for the other Avengers.

During the Infinity storyline after Thanos and his minions have arrived on earth he sends Ebony Maw and his powers of persuasion to deal with Doctor Strange to keep him out of battle and to find the whereabouts of the Infinity Stones, during the process Doctor Strange succumbs to Maw's power giving him the locations of the stones and becomes a double agent for Thanos against his fellow heroes. The Avengers who already have enough on there plate trying to survive attacks from the mad titan and keeping earth safe suddenly coming under attack from a powerhouse like Strange would be a huge twist reveal in the movie and could heavily shake up the relationships of the MCU in a big way with some possible trust issues towards Strange in the future. Now, this could just be an easter egg or an homage to the comic book storyline but adding a heel turn into an already dire situation would make Infinity War even more memorable than it is going to be.

With Infinity War about a month away there isn't long to wait to see if the Doctor Strange double agent storyline is involved and what other scenes have been ripped straight from the various infinity stone based comic books when the MCU's first ten years draw to a close. Are you guys excited for Infinity War and the possibility of Doctor Strange joining Thanos and the Black Order against Earths Mightiest Heroes, let us know in the comments below.

What gave it away? Was it the scene in the trailer? In that case, looks like Captain America could also "Be In Trouble In INFINITY WAR"

That's why Ancient One is in Infinity War. To help Doctor Strange rid himself of the influence of Ebony Maw.

@Repian - Ancient One has to be like Obi Wan and Yoda. And, although she is dead, she must continue to instruct Doctor Strange, benefiting him from her infinite wisdom.

Off-Topic (Kind of): I wonder how Infinity War will affect the Netflix shows, AOS, or whatever else could be affected?

@Poochie - Ahhh, that's right. Who do you think he may be helping? Korg and some of the Asgardians? I think Loki uses the tesseract to send Hulk to earth as it becomes clear that Thanos has the upper hand.
