Some pics were snapped at Kittanning PA, where Marvel's The Avengers is apparently shooting scenes..

I found these epics over at the Marvel Movies FB page, but can't pin point exactly where they came from. The guy that posted them there insists that The Avengers is shooting scenes(of what is unclear) near a Walmart in Kittanning PA, and that is where these trucks were snapped.









Either way, they are clearly some pics of some cool looking S.H.I.E.L.D trucks. Whether they are being used for scenes there are awaiting transport elsewhere has not been confirmed.

I'm sure these trucks were enroute to some other location. Truckers often stay the night in Wal-Mart parking lots. Still they do look pretty cool.

The big truck is either a deuce and a half or 5 ton, still very much in operation and a bitch to drive (no power steering in the deuce and a very hard clutch). Therenare newer models, but they aren't all services and units wide yet, probably couldn't get any. However, you don't see too many HMMWV's with the vinyl doors however, an airsoft gun can shoot through that!! For what Shield does, they should be up armored all the way!!!

@ EvilEye- I work across the street from a small army reserve vehicle depot and they have a ton of these heavy duty trucks hanging around. The last pic is a Humvee, and those went into heavy use in Desert Storm in 1991. They're not as old as you might think.

HMMWV = high mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle = Humvee for my non military friends.

Humvees look pretty much the same today. More importantly though, we know that that's not what S.H.I.E.L.D.s WWII logo looks like thanks to pics from Cap.

Shield in the movie didnt exist in WW2.. its precursor the SSR (strategic scientific reserve??) does and there logo doesnt look like the modern shield one there

I also agree with plasticman. I don't think they are shooting in this location. The driver was most likely en route to somewhere else and stopped for a break in the Wally World parking lot.

Trucks look oldschool. And the S.H.I.E.L.D logo is comic accurate, but the logo presented with the Avenegers first photo with directors chairs has a more space type S.H.I.E.L.D logo. Maybe it's flashback prologue to Red Skull or soemthing.

@NeoBaggins - They look like pretty standard military vehicles to me. You never see too many Hummers or 18-Wheelers in the oldschool stuff, but I could be wrong.

sergeantmarvel Yeah, definitely no hummers. I guess the green is throwing me off. So used to seeing dessert vehicles. But now that I think about it, they engaged HULK with green issue hard metal trucks in the Blonsky fight. I remember them having that oldschool feel too. I guess they're still standard issue.
