Approaching the April-slated filming date, Marvel's Joss Whedon-directed
The Avengers is becoming closer to actuality. Scouting around anyhow, I came across a few interesting tidbits regarding the crossover spectacle, essentially Marvel's editor-in-chief praising it's script, a potential "Cleveland" filming location, and supposed 3D-camera testing underwent.
In a tweet via
Jeff Hirz, a Cleveland local, he says:
"You know "The Avengers" movie that's being shot in Cleveland? [They] Just scouted the Science Center for a possible scene in the film :) I might get more details next week (current week) though when their production designer gets into town"
And further confirming
The Avengers filming in 3D, rather than converted in post-production, I came across
Whedonesque user
Bobw1o, who stated four weeks ago:
"For those who are interested: They've been shooting camera tests lately with the Red Epic on 3D rigs and just hired a DIT (part of the Camera Dept when shooting HD) for the New Mexico portion of the shoot. I know him and also know (barely) the 1st AC."
And lastly, courtesy of our buddy 'RealIronMan' of
Spidermedia, at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo(C2E2), Marvel's editor-in-chief Joe Quesada essentially praises
The Avengers' script.
"I've read Joss Whedon's script recently and it's out of this world, quintessential. I also saw some designs & concept art, but I can't talk about it."
Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Clark Gregg, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and additionally Stellan Skarsgård, Tom Hiddleston and Kevin Pennington,
The Avengers assembles May 4, next year in 3D!
And latest rumors, that have yet to be dismissed, suggests that Earth's Mightiest Heroes will go up against extraterrestrial shapeshifters - the Skrulls, and maybe even an advanced militaristic alien race - Kree. What do you think?
