Fan favorite Kevin Pennington was quite busy on Twitter today despite feeling a little under the weather.

to those who asked... runny nose, sore throat and cough :(



His first interesting Tweet of the day was centered around his involvment (or lack thereof) in the upcoming 2012 epic 'The Avengers'. He Tweets:

Anybody an imdb expert? Need to get avengers off there. I haven't signed for any character in that movie.

So there you go. Straight from thekevpenn's mouth. No Quasar, no nuthin'.

On another interesting note, I learned today via Kevin's Twitter that in 'X-Men: First Class', Havok has been promoted to Scott 'Cyclops' Summers' FATHER!!!

"the red beam actually comes from Havok who they made his dad... try to take that all in.. :("



We will try, Mr. Pennington. It won't be easy, but we will try.

X-Men: First Class is directed by Matthew Vaughn and will hit theaters this June; and The Avengers is set to blow our minds May 4th, 2012 (Quasar or no Quasar).

im not bothered by this it looks a good movie.. and this is movie universe i think it makes it kinda cool... ill like it better if they sort out the continiuty problem with mystique... but it wouldnt bother me if they didnt

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is NOT the comics. It is the movie universe. Havok hasn't appeared before. He could easily be Scott's father. THIS ISN'T THE COMIC. Get over it!

@televizion- it is.. its been stated before that theyve cut wolverine outta the x-men universe continuity... therefore meanin its mystique thats the only problem.

There are still people complainig thats its not the original five, this is a prequel to the other X-films so the original five wouldn't work. People like you have it set in your minds that this will be a bad movie because its not close to the comics but its not a comic, its a film.

It kind of makes sense for them to be father and son in the MOVIE UNIVERSE.

I am extremely pissed about this [frick]ing change, but I am not going to moan about it.
Besides, everyone and their mother knew that this [frick]ing character change was coming when we found out that XFC will be set in the 60s and that Havok will be in it.

i've said before i am gonna watch it,but i'm not gonna pay to watch it,one of my mates will download it of the internet,my mates will probably want to see it & they will probably enjoy it because they have no knowledge of the comic.

you idiots at FOX don't deserve to make X Men movies. it doesn't matter if its the "movie universe". there are core characteristics that make characters who they are and if you change that, they are no longer the 'character'. Like Romeo and Juliet, that story has been told a million ways, but the core of it remains the same. What if Romeo was Juliet's uncle and sends her to college in Europe where she meets a dashing Arab dude and tells Romeo she's not moving back? WTF, then it isn't "Romeo and Juliet" anymore. Plain and simple, FOX is [frick]ing up. These are NOT the X Men. Havok is Cyclop's brother. Period. Older, younger, I could even deal with step-brother, but its his brother dammit.
