The following isnt exactly what you might describe as an in-depth interview with the actor, but he does briefly share his thoughts on playing the character, the past interpretations and even shoots the breeze about the ever changing roster of The Avengers comic book!

Who are you playing in The Avengers?

The Hulk. And I'm kind of excited about it.

Right, you're the new Hulk! Think about the string of actors you'll be following.

It's like my generation's Hamlet, man.

How many more episodes can they make?

I don't know. I think they have to die with me. They're not going to make the 60 year old Hulk.

Were you a comic book fan?

Loved them. I grew up on that, man.

You should go down to MoCCA sometimes. Have you ever been?

Yes, yes. It's awesome. Yeah, I grew up on that and Bill Bixby's Bruce Banner.

And Lou Ferrigno.

Awesome. I hope they use him in the movie. They have to. The Avengers lost the Hulk a little too soon, I think.

But I think they added some good characters.

They did. What about Ant and Wasp? They're hilarious. That relationship.

And Giant-Man.

Yes. He was a good addition.

The Avengers is set to be released on May 4, 2012!

Ant and wasp...hilarious.
And giant man? He was a good addition...

He and ant man are the same person!

I think I may be picking but is he bluffing his way through this?

I'm a Norton fan but this isn't me hating on him or anything. It just seems to me we've heard this, "I grew up on comics" all too often

The really unfair thing to him is that I will most likely be unable to watch his Banner without thinking about Norton, Sorry Mark.

@Marvel72
I think he meant, the character is bigger than the actor.

These interviewers have no common sense grif. :) Sort of like how no one has ever asked Kevin Feige whether they have the rights back to characters like Daredevil and the Fantastic Four.

What the heck is up with this? It doesn't even sound like neither the interviewer or Ruffalo knows anything about what they're saying. And just a quick question...why did they recast Bruce Banner/The Hulk??? I thought Norton was terrific! Ruffalo does not exude that Hulk beastliness AT ALL. It's like, worse than how Bana played the character. Wooden, no emotion. And I'm saying this before the movie even comes out! Oh well, The Avengers is going to be flipping righteous! We can just hope that maybe Ruffalo will surprise us.
