WARNING: Article Contains Spoilers for Justice League

While there is still a lot up in the air for the upcoming Batman film, it appears that actor Joe Manganeniello has not lost any interest in his role.  One of the after-credit scenes in Justice League showed the actor as Deathstroke, seemingly forming an alliance with Lex Luthor.  Whether DC is saving this Injustice League storyline for another Justice League movie, or just using this scene to introduce Deathstroke, is unclear.

After releasing an Instagram image of himself dawning the Deathstroke outfit, the actor gave an interview in which he discussed a possible direction for the Batman film:

“If something were to come my way, in that way, I would happily accept it. [...] I was a fan of DC comics and I'm a big fan of Geoff Johns' Batman: Earth One, which was a really great series. For anyone who's a comics fan who hasn't read it, I highly recommend it.”

The Geoff Johns’ Batman: Earth One could provide a nice shift in the already established DC universe.  But will this movie come to fruition, or is the actor just hoping for the best?

His solo with Gareth actually is more intriguing than the Batman solo at this point.

Hope it has elements of the Priest run

It offers intense thematic focus on the psychological make-up of an extremely detached supervillain.
