We first heard about Batman VS. Two-Face before Return of The Caped Crusaders was even released late last year, and we may now finally have a release date for the animated follow-up, which will feature the late Adam West's final voice-performance as The Dark Knight.

Though this hasn't been officially confirmed just yet, according to a listing over on Best Buy’s website Batman vs. Two-Face is slated for Blu-ray release on October 17.

Check out the cover art below:

Two-Face was never actually utilized along with the likes of The Joker, Catwoman and The Penguin in the 1966 TV series - though Harlan Ellison did write a never-produced script that would have featured the villain, and was eventually published in the Batman '66: The Lost Episode #1 comic book.

Could that story inform the plot of this movie, perhaps?

@hufflepuff69 - Hahaha well you're not missing much. To be honest, the '66 skin looks weird on the Arkham Knight Batman character model. I usually use the Batman Beyond skin.

Interesting cast... West & Burt Ward, Julie Newmar is back as Catwoman, Steven Weber (of Wings) as Alfred, and Shatner as Two-Face.

@MediaMan - Weber's dipped his toes into the comic book animation pool before. He voiced, among other characters, Norman Osborn on Ultimate Spider-Man.

@FlixMentallo21 - Thanks- I've never seen the Ultimate show; I did see the Spectacular series (which I liked a lot).

Holy shit, Shatner as Two-Face! That's amazing.

@ElVengador - I have to admit, I never would have thought of Shatner for that role, but no doubt he could do it. He's an amazing voice actor, probably one of the best.

I can't wait to see an Adam west batman style two face in action

Two-Face is probably the most difficult character to do in a campy way. R.I.P. Mr. West

@MasterMix - I don't know. Have you ever seen Batman Forever? Hated that movie as much as Batman and Robin. Riddler and Two-Face were terrible.
MasterMix
MasterMix - 8/7/2017, 2:53 PM
@RolandD - I was referring to the tv series. I meant that back in the 60's they probably didn't do Two-Face for the reason that he couldn't be done in a campy way. Batman Forever was okay, but yeah Tommy Lee Jones went a little overboard.

@MasterMix - They almost got Clint Eastwood to play a version of Two-Face on the show, where Harvey Dent was a news anchor.

He was not only my favorite Batman, but my favorite Family Guy Character too. RIP

Here's an interview he did on my favorite radio show May 3, 2017, just a few weeks before his death. Please take the time to watch it - very funny stuff.
