when I think of Kilmer, I don't think of Batman Forever. I think of Doc Holliday!
KaneVonDoom - 4/18/2012, 10:01 AM
I think Val was actually a pretty good Bruce Wayne... The movie just had too much cheese.
SpiderFan35 - 4/18/2012, 10:03 AM

couldn't resist lol. src="" couldn't="" resist="">

couldn't resist lol.>

He was actually one of the better Batmen.
Mrcool210 - 4/18/2012, 10:08 AM
not a bad batman, miles better then clooney
KungFuKoala - 4/18/2012, 10:22 AM
He comes across as such a genuine and nice guy. Nothing like how he is portrayed by those in the industry who claim to have worked with him.
valeriesghost - 4/18/2012, 10:22 AM
I enjoyed the movie as a kid, and i've always like Val.
Ancar - 4/18/2012, 10:28 AM
He's fracking right about Nolan's vision and was one the best of his era - look to Tombstone's Doc Holiday and The Doors Jim Morrison!

I think he would do a great Penguin by now!!!
SpiderFan35 - 4/18/2012, 10:29 AM
@tea: He has the bathroom thing taken care of

ThaMessenger07 - 4/18/2012, 10:38 AM
People in the industry don't like Kilmer because he is vocal in his discomfort with scenes. They tell him to do something and if he doesn't like it he says so and tries to work it out. He's like Ed Norton without getting involved in other actors character portrayal. Norton actually tries to direct actors and shit. lol

Mind you, Directors Love working with Keanu
SotNatt - 4/18/2012, 10:41 AM
@teabag I think of The Tend Commandments (unfortunately) and a big golden calf as big as my car.

I hate to admit how awesome I thought Batman Forever was, back in the day. How far CBMs have gone...

Gay Perry ftw. Why doesn't Val Kilmer do more stuff that I wanna see?!

Thats exactly why the "You want to be able to turn your head." line from TDK always makes me smile as does "Like a *submarine*, Mr. Wayne. Like a submarine."

Nice little touches.

I loved the Incetion rotating fight scene so hopefully Nolan has stepped it up for TDKR.

I honestly like Batman Forever. It was a little campy, but it was vastly superior to Returns and Batman and Robin.

the only good thing about Returns was Pfeifer's skintight suit. aside from that it was a piece of garbage. and Batman and Robin, I can't even think of a good thing about it.

I watched The Phantom and The Shadow this weekend and I remember enjoying those films as a kid and now that I'm all sophisticated and shit

I watch those films now and I'm all... WTF O_o
Chewtoy - 4/18/2012, 11:12 AM

SpiderFan35 - 4/18/2012, 11:18 AM
@Grenngo: The Phantom, yeah that was awful lol. Slam evil!

Fogs - 4/18/2012, 11:29 AM
I don't give a shit about his Batman but he was Nick Rivers, so CHEERS, KILMER!

Fogs - 4/18/2012, 11:30 AM
@Stigmartyr - yeah! His Jim Morrison was boss, well thought.
elcaballerooscuro92 - 4/18/2012, 11:33 AM
spielberg and lucas ask children what they like? so children like star wars with more council meetings than shoots?
Fogs - 4/18/2012, 11:34 AM
@elcaballerooscuro92 - this would explain Phantom [frick]in Menace.
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/18/2012, 11:51 AM
Forever was decent enough and not least because of Kilmer, Jones and Nicole Kidman who by the way was [frick]ING HOT in that movie!:)

Kilmer must have fun memories of her!
wepx5150 - 4/18/2012, 11:57 AM
Kilmer was a great Batman! The movie, not so much! The guy is a great actor, hands down....Tombstone still holds up as one of the best westerns ever made!
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/18/2012, 12:01 PM
Kilmer is awesome in my book too!

Anyone remember him in The Island of Dr. Moreau?
That was one badass film!
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/18/2012, 12:05 PM
Shaman - 4/18/2012, 12:07 PM
Kilmer was the best Iceman we've ever had.

monkeyballs3- "Keaton's Batman was a borderline psycho and and was by far the best Batman. He NAILED the Batman-angry-kid-saw parents-shot-to-death guy who's walking a thin line between becoming what he's vowed to fight."

That is the BEST and SIMPLEST description i've ever heard in my life! I agree with you 1000%!!!
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/18/2012, 12:10 PM
Temuera Morrison, Mark Dacascos and Ron Perlman was great in it too! And that dude who played the rebelling beastman Hyena-Swine.
13echo - 4/18/2012, 12:17 PM
Val was good as Batman but Jim and Tommy with their renditions of the Joker OOPS I mean the Riddler and Two face were awful!!!
