Inception co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt had been rumored for a role in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, and now Deadline is confirming it.

The Dark Knight Rises should be renamed "Inception: The Eames/Arthur bromance continues" ;)
either that or he can play the guy who jumps out of the tv and sweeps us teenage girls off our feet cause he's adorable and all :D

I have no idea, I would have said riddler but nolans ruled that out, can't see him as strange, older dick grayson perhaps who knows? what ever it is better not be some small cameo. (also he would have been a great spidey)

If he plays Dick Greyson, that'd be cool. But I have a feeling we won't be seeing him in the film. If we do, I'll be happy. :D

Probably be some police cheif. Which is a shame because I'd like to see him as someone recognisable.

He looks so much like Heath Ledger I cant help but think he could do a short scene at the beginning as The Joker! Remember, The Scarecrow was in the beginning of TDK! Eh? What do yall think?

@Otisburg Nolan already said he didn't feel right about recasting Joker, so he wasn't going to do it.

Much as I'd love to see Nightwing on film, no. Even though I think JGL would do good in the role, no. Of all the changes Nolan HAS made to his films from the way things are in the comics, I can't see him just outright skipping Robin to use Grayson as Nightwing when his being Robin greatly informs his character as Nightwing. And Nolan will never use Robin. So I see JGL having a minor role, like Scarecrow in TDK (not as a villain per se, but in that capacity). Maybe he'll be part of the task force hunting Bats?

I think Nolan said that he won't include Robin in any Batman film he directs. Plus, Bale said that he wouldn't play if Robin is in the story.
Anyways, I have no idea who Levitt can play.

Do not put in Nightwing without putting in Robin. Idc what anyone says. Dick Grayson is one of my favorite characters, but he was Robin first. Do it right, or not at all. All I can say

Hoping it is Grayson.

Simple way to include Robin character with our corny outfit/name:

Grayson and fam are in the circus, costumes resemble robin outfit.nickname is "robin"

Parents killed by Bane "clown make up that looks like Bane mask (see hardy in Bronson)

Taken in by Bruce and becomes night wing right away, name given to him by batman as a helping hand (night wing is codename) Grayson steps in to help out when batman gets pummeled.

Robin introduce without loud costume and goofy name.

i highly doubt the joker cameo. i would suspect that could be viewed as distasteful, and the cogs behind the machine are probably aware of that. perhaps dick grayson, but no robin... no way. i am a huge fan of him, so i hope its something with weight
