Today, supposed script details leaked for Christopher Nolan's long-awaited The Dark Knight Rises. While the details consisted of 'Black Mask' becoming the new mafia boss, 'Killer Croc' being his henchman, 'Talia al Ghul' avenging her father's death, and 'Hugo Strange' pulling all of the strings, according to various sources, all of that has feasibly turned out to be bogus.

Batman-News and Batman On Film have debunked the script leak, the latter site having contacted Warner Bros., who said that the story is false. There's no "insider" at WB emailing it to his friends and I can guarantee that there is an extremely limited number of people who have even touched the paper its written on, let along had the chance to read it.

It sure was fun while it lasted, but The Dark Knight Rises anyhow, is scheduled for release on July 20, 2012.

Personally: I never believed this rumor to be true. Christopher Nolan guards his stuff like it is his child, so it just couldn't be. Oh well, we'll keep waiting lol

even though i knew it was too good to be true, there's this place in the back of my mind that thinks maybe this is another one of those misinformation campaigns.
a Warner Bros "employee" "leaks" a "script review" that isn't even that descriptive. and the WB denies the info. is it all a plot to increase hype for Nolan's upcoming opus?
is it a ploy to downplay an actual leak??
(even though WB has been a bit more assertive about leaks. use our previous Green Lantern scoops for reference.)

either way, if this is a marketing scam, how dare WB play with my emotions!!!!
if it was just the ramblings of an overzealous fan looking for the spotlight (even though he/she was annonymous), how dare he/she play with my emotions!

i would kill to see these characters brought to life on screen, but do not feed me false hopes!

(i know this post seems a little far fetched, but hey. someone out there was thinking it too!)

The whole thing was just stupid - the guy who made it up didn't even bother to take continuity into account. It was revealed that Ra's was the head of the Scarecrow's scheme in BB, why would Hugo Strange now suddenly be the mastermind? It all seemed fake from the start.

Nolan turned the sript in monday supposedly i highly doubted it was true....it did sound good tho.

Sound like a great storyline but like I said I will believe it when WB & Nolan press conference in other words as Bale said when it come from Nolan that is when U believe it.

Ha, well I can't pretend to be surprised - it was a nice, if unrealistic, thought that that would be the story to The Dark Knight Rises. But hats off to the guy because it was a great piece of fan fiction - God knows why he decided to publicly humiliate himself like that though! Nice find DCMF! :)

There were 2 issues with the "leak".

1)As if Nolan would ever allow this script to be available in ANY form to anyone that would allow it to be attached to an email.

2)All the characters mentioned have been the rumored ones recently, ie Croc, Mask, Strange etc...AS IF all these rumors would be true. All the rumors are never true. That would mean that Nolan basically wasn't able to keep any secrets at all which we all know isn't plausible.

I knew it was complete bullsh*t once it said killer croc.. If Nolan claims portraying The Penguin on film would be tricky in his Universe, then why would he even consider doing killer croc?? Killer croc is corny anyways, i dont wanna see him in a live action Batman film..

Surprise surprise

Well i wouldnt mind if there is three villains, but four sounds little bit too big!

Talia Al Ghul, Hugo Strange and Black Mask, Bane, Red Hood or Killer Croc would make awesome villains!
Those would be my choices! Maybe Rupert Thorne as the new gangster boss!
Talia and Hugo could work together to destroy Gotham and they hire Strange´s former patient, Black Mask, Killer Croc or Bane to kill Batman so they can continue their plans!
Or the other idea! Mysterious criminal Red Hood and his hired gun Black Mask starts to blow things up in Gotham and takeover the underworld. Batman has to stop them and sametime stay a head the police and new aggressive detective Harvey Bullock who wants to catch Batman whatever it costs!
Meanwhile Bruce falls in the mysterious woman Talia who finally is revealed to be the vengeful daughter of Henri Ducard aka Ra´s Al Ghul and the sister of Red Hood! Blinded by there desire to revenge Red Hood and Talia doesnt realize to watch Black Mask who betrays them and wants to be the new king of the underwold!
