I came across what I think is a pretty interesting quote from the actor tucked away in an article over at Vulture about the National Board of Review Awards. The rumours about God knows how many actresses being in the running for a role in the highly anticipated third installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman movies have been around so long, I honestly cannot remember if anyone officially involved with the movie has ever confirmed their authenticity. Well, now Christian Bale himself has.
Even Christian Bale came off well — he joked that he's found his The Fighter role so hard to shake that the actresses he's about to screen-test opposite for The Dark Knight Rises "will be the first to get to see Dickie as Batman")
Nothing too exciting I know, but despite the jokey context of this quote, it surely adds some more weight to the news that Chris Nolan is hoping to pick up one or two well known actresses for major roles in the next movie.
