Sir Michael Caine Confirms Batman 3 Filming Date!

The actor has added further weight to the rumour that Batman 3 will start filming next Spring...

In an exclusive interview with UK website, Digital Spy, the actor who played Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred Pennyworth in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight has revealed exactly when filming will start on the currently unnamed third installment of the superhero series.



""I think they're going to do it in April, that's about as much as I know."

This of course confirms earlier rumours and reports that the movie is set to start filming as soon as next March and with the recent news that the script has been completed by Jonathan Nolan, we'll hopefully start hearing more and more about Batman 3 in the coming months!

Christopher Nolan's next movie, Inception opens in the UK on July 16 while Batman 3 is due in cinemas on July 20, 2012!

but I think he's been hittin' the sauce
hard lately cuz he has talked through his

I think Michael Caine has realized the power of being Michael Caine and is starting to abuse it. Basically, Michael Caine could walk up to me on the street and tell me anything and I would believe it.

A lot of negative remarks aimed at Michael Caine here. He said "he thinks they're doing it next Spring", it's the headline of this article that said it's been confirmed.

@ JoshCharmley - "He doesn't really know anything". He probably knows very little about the film, but he knows more than you about it.

@RyKnow It does not matter what he does or does not know, I'm just saying he needs to just keep hi goddamned mouth shut when it comes to Batman 3. He has already ran his mouth off on other things regarding the film, and caused rumors about the film, which Nolan has already said he is tired of. I just think the guy should just keep quiet. Otherwise he may hurt the film.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Michael Caine's and Christopher Nolan's! I guess that because I'm not really into Batman or DC all that much (although I have dozens of story arcs featuring him that I love) the changes Nolan has made dont bother me in the least! If it was a Marvel character like Daredevil or Spider-Man, then I'd probably feel a lot different though so I get why a few of you arent huge fans of what he's done with the character!

If there was a few things I'd like to see Nolan do a little more faithfully next time though, it would be Batman's skills as a detective and a decent Batcave full of gadgets, easter eggs and nods to the comic books! :P

I'm going to half agree with Shaman. Michael Caine may not be that in the loop, like Stan, but he gets a pass, like Stan, because he's Michael Caine and that's awesome.

Besides that, this is a pretty simple statement and its our own fault if we pin our hopes to it. Why should he care if what he says affects some fanboys? I wouldn't. I'd be secure in the fact I was Michael Caine. I've made dozens of great movies, now I'm old, and I'm still making great movies, so why should I care what people think.

DDD: What exactly is it you like more about Batman Begins than The Dark Knight? Personally, I found the first movie all a bit boring! I thought that the origins were dragged out for far too long and the villains were just uninteresting to me for the most part! Don't get me wrong, it was a brilliantly made and excellently acted movie, with some great scenes, but it doesn't compare to the Oscar worthy sequel IMO! :)
