Henry Cavill Reveals How Much Longer He Hopes To Play SUPERMAN On The Big Screen

We know that Henry Cavill is set to appear in Zack Snyder's two-part Justice League movie and more than likely a Man of Steel sequel, but for how much longer is he interested in playing Superman? Well, based on his comments here, he'll be sticking around for some time...

We know that actors working with Marvel Studios sign anything from three to nine picture deals, but how things work at Warner Bros. isn't quite so clear. How many movies Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck have agreed to do is a complete mystery, but the former seems keen on sticking around for as long as possible following the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. "As many as it takes," Cavill responded when asked by TheAnglophileChannel how many more years he intends to play Superman on the big screen. "I love the character. I love working with Warner Bros. and what they're doing with it, and so fingers crossed I'll be able to tell the story for many, many years to come." You can hear more from the actor by watching the video above!

While people may want a Crisis story, the true final act of the DCCU should be Kingdom Come.

@MarkyMarkRises yes that is exactly what i want and the thats how the DCCU ends. I look forward to more from henry as superman.

I really hope Terrio's screenplay gives Henry more dialogue scenes. The first hour of MOS Cavill barely had any scenes where he spoke any actually dialogue and spent most of his time just standing around or listening to others.

MoS had a bunch of problems, no doubt. Henry Cavill was not one of them. I hope he plays Superman for many, many more movies and similarly I hope Amy Adams continues as Lois, too.

Cavill's a great guy, glad to have him as the Superman of our generation. I'm sure BvS will truly dive more into his character more than ever.

Henry can play Supes in Superman: At Earth's End and I'd still watch it no matter how shit the book was!

I would, despite it being impossible(both physically and star status wise), give birth to Henry Cavill's children.

WB is gonna recast him with a balding Cuban to one up Fox's black Jonny Storm.

Cavil struck me as a d-bag, but I've warmed up to him. He seems decent. How many films is he signed on for?

The DCCU will be amazing.
An older Batman means we'll get Terry sooner, rather than later.

I'm so sick of superhero actors talking about how much they want to get out of their contracts. It's refreshing to have someone who wants to do it for as long as they can

@BatManHeisenberg

I'd give MOS a 6/10. Actors are good picks for their roles, fight scenes are good but I felt the script wasn't all that good.

As much as I love that nightmare illusion Zod does to Superman I still have no idea how the hell Zod turned into Mysterio or Scarecrow.

I liked Kingdom Come, but I'm shocked at how many people (including the author Mark Waid) liked that book but hate Man of Steel. He's such a prick in that book. Hell, he quits being Superman because Lois is killed. That Superman is a horrible Superman.

Imagine Cavill wearing Kryptonian armor in Justice League Part 1 or 2 or Man of Steel 2?

Superman was under the influence of a Kryptonian drug on Zod's ship. You seriously didn't get that?
LEVITIKUZ
LEVITIKUZ - 1/17/2015, 6:05 PM
I know @Gusto would love it if an actor was signed on to play John Stewart as the GL of the DCCU and to be play John as long as Henry wants to as Superman.

BTW @Gusto

LEVITIKUZ - 1/17/2015, 6:07 PM
@aknightinarkham

I can understand him being under the influence of a drug but who gives someone a drug that tells them what they plan on doing? I mean was Zod the one telling the drug what to say or was that the drug and even so how was Zod able to control what the drug was telling him?

Imagine if in BVS Clark is wearing kryptonion armor while batman has his armor.
