Neil deGrasse Tyson Talks The Difference Between Batman & Superman

I think it's fair to say the biggest surprise of the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was the fact People's 2000 Sexiest Astrophysicist Alive, Neil deGrasse Tyson, was one of the voice overs in the trailer. He talks with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show about Batman and Superman. Click to check it out.

I think it's fair to say it was quite a bit of a surprise that astrophysicist, cosmologist, host of StarTalk, and People's 2000 Sexiest Astrophysicist Alive Neil deGrasse Tyson is in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the trailer, he was one of the voice overs in the beginning debate whether or not we should trust Superman or not. Talking with Jon Stewart's The Daily Show, deGrasse Tyson talks about a key difference between the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight. Neil's comments begin at the 3:40 part.

Neil deGrasse Tyson: Who does Batman (Ben Affleck) report to?

Jon Stewart: Commissioner Gordon.

Neil deGrasse Tyson: Yeah, the Commissioner and ultimately, the Mayor.

Jon Stewart: Yeah.

Neil deGrasse Tyson: Who does Superman (Henry Cavill) report to?

Jon Stewart: The guy in the ice castle.

Neil deGrasse Tyson: Yeah, so nobody we know. Nobody we have any insight into. He just behaves in any way he wants. And so at the end of the day, what might matter is the public reception of the superhero's conduct. And if Batman executes our wishes in the city, and Superman does whatever the hell he wants: that's a conflict.

So based on Neil's opinion, do you agree with Neil's point? Should Superman take a step back and report to someone? Comment below, let me know. Peace and remember...

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy, and Jason Momoa and opens in theaters on March 25, 2016.

But the people of Gotham don't know he reports to Gordon tho. Kind of a flawed argument in making Supes look like the "vigilante"

So that's how the cinematic Civil War begins! ...wait

The first minute of the trailer gives me some mad chills, great dialogue in there.

I would say it's hard for the people of Gotham to not know Batman reports to Gordon considering he's the Commissioner of the police and there is a Batsignal on top of the police building.

Love the way this guy didn't like Inception as it was scientificaly unsound. But changed his tune later. Oh, and Tyson: Sagan's "Contact" is awful!

Sorta makes sense, but I hope this doesn't reflect on BvS where, by the end of the film, Superman starts to answer to someone.

Yeah he's a good guy with him but Batman does what he wants.
And isn't Gordon dead in this movie?
