Shocker! Wonder Woman Will NOT Be Kryptonian In MAN OF STEEL Sequel

So recently Batman On Film posted their New Years mailbag, in which the site's owner Jett answered some of his readers' questions. Among his replies were a few smatterings of (supposed) legit info on Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel sequel, but there were also some guesses and speculation. On such piece of - clearly labelled it must be noted - speculation came in the form of his idea that Wonder Woman's origin might be altered for the film, and she would actually be a decedent of those ancient Kryptonians we heard about in the first movie that set out to explore the universe. Now maybe because of misreading, laziness or flat out hit whoring many sites ran this as an actual rumor. One such site was Badass Digest, who have now reached out to their sources and confirmed that ...umm...Jett's theory was off! Well done lads. So rest easy - even though it was only ever speculation anyway, it seems Diana will not be a Kryptonian in Snyder's Man Of Steel sequel.

But didn't Jeff go on record to explain that this rumour was his own fanboy speculations and theories? It shouldnt have been a rumour in the first place.

He told everyone on facebook that that was merely him theorizing. He never confirmed it, or said it was a rumour or anything. People just saw that and went with it. He is not to blame.

Jett was asked

“How big of a role do you think Wonder Woman will be in BvS?”

Jett then replied

"Personally, I’d say it’ll be about on par with Scarlett Johansson’s first appearance as Black Widow in IRON MAN 2. I believe that it’s a cameo-plus type of role that will (hopefully) serve as a springboard to a solo Wonder Woman movie.

With all that said, I’d bet a year’s pay – in MONOPOLY money, of course – that the “Amazons” of this cinematic DCU will be descendants of those “ancient Kryptonians” who attempted to set up Kryptonian outposts throughout spacedom thousands and thousands of years ago. Furthermore, I say that Wonder Woman will be powered-down, if you will, relative to Superman because these Amazons have evolved and adapted to living on Earth for hundreds of centuries."

He was quite clearly giving his opinion and speculating yet it somehow and nonsensically formulated into a baseless rumor. Cannot believe he's had to explain himself, people need to learn how to read properly.

And how was this confirmed and by whom? We've just got Ror saying it's not the case.

True, Jett only postulated it, but who said it isn't the case? Who did Ror get that information from? He didn't even say an anonymous source confirmed or anything. Just that it wasn't the case.

How do you know, Ror?

When I read the title about the possibility of WW being a descendent of Krypton for the movie??
All I could do was shake my head and roll my eyes (facepalm) :-P
Even the possibility..... wow ;-)

Never mind. I'm a dumb ass and I misread the article. Duh. Plus, for some screwed up reason I can't get this site to function properly and reload pages on my computer. I deleted that comment and it's still there.

pff I dont care, Gadot being cast is [frick]ing up the character already, her being Kryptonian would just make sense with that [frick]ed up logic :S

Looking forward to pretty much every other part of the movie except for her scenes and I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a big Wonder Woman fan and I know a whole bunch of life long fans who are beyond pissed and feel the same way about the movie.

Ooooh ooooh, how bout just writing her out of the script period to go home and be a house wife while MEN go to war. U guys realize that all Man-Of-Steel/ BvS is, is a Justice League movie without the name prolly as to NOT seem like they are "copying" Marvel's Avemgers

@Jollem that's what pisses me off about the majority of people on this site. Most of them are Marvelites. There's not a single article on how bad iron man 3 was or on Thor the Fun World. But there's tons on MOS and each one isn't usually positive, and if it is, it still gets a lot of hate
