Tom Hardy Has A Very Unique Way Of Solving The BATMAN v SUPERMAN Debate

Tom Hardy almost returned to the DC universe with Suicide Squad, but sadly that didn't pan out. Nevertheless, the talented Brit has now expressed an interest in reprising his role as 'Bane' to help solve the debate of who would win a fight, 'Batman' or 'Superman'...

Tom Hardy has famously already starred in one DC Comics adaptation as 'Bane' in The Dark Knight Rises, and came very close to doing so again as 'Rick Flag' in Suicide Squad. Unfortunately, scheduling issues forced him to drop out of the latter - although he's since signed on to produce (and maybe star in) a separate DC/Vertigo movie in 100 Bullets.

But will the talented British actor ever join the DCEU? While talking to MTV about his role(s) in next month's Legend, Hardy was asked if he'd be open to returning to the world of DC comic book movies. He seemed very open to the idea - and (in addition to inquiring about the George Miller/Man Of Steel 2 rumor) he even had a few helpful suggestions about to how he'd settle a fight between the comics company's two most iconic superheroes...


Obviously his reponse is tongue-in-cheek, but it'd be pretty entertaining to see Bane interrupt BvS in this way. This isn't the first time Hardy's expressed an interest in returning to DC either. With his Mad Max: Fury Road director (potentially) involved in the DCEU, would you like to see him follow? And as which character? (HINT: It won't be Bane). Sound off below!

more comic book accurate Bane perhaps ? Not a revolutionist ... Knightfall Bane is great.

I could see him playing actor who in some sort of accident becomes Clayface or Black Mask.

He is such a good actor, like verrrrrry good. He was wasted as Bane in my opinion, and if I'm being honest I would be just as ecstatic if he did something with Marvel.

I find it funny how few years before when everyone in this site thought Ben Affleck was a shitty actor and now everyone here praises this guy as if he's the messiah I have a feeling critics are going to eat this movie alive just like the recent fantastic four which I know will happen

Wish he was still Rick Flag in Suicide Squad, a better actor than Kinnaman imo and one of the initial reasons I was hyped for that movie.

Who do we have now for Suicide Squad? Jared Leto, Batfleck, Margot Robbie and Viola Davis, okay, they're good. But Will Smith playing Will Smith? No thanks I'm not going to waste my money whilst he saves his money on skipping acting lessons. Jai Courtney? What the [frick] has Jai Courtney done? His name is french for 'I have'. 'I have Courtney'. U wot m8? Cara Delevingne is hot and I'd a bangity bang that chick but she's isn't a big actress.Joel Kinnaman is good but he ain't Tom Hardy good. And I haven't even heard the names of any of the other Squad members' actors so that's saying something.

Big ensemble? Pfft no. If Hardy was still in maybe I'd say it was a big ensemble but no. Just four big name actors, a bunch of nobodies and Will Smith being Will Smith.

@Batmanhulkbadass Affleck is accomplished. He isn't the messiah but he's not shit. He is at the top of his game so I can't see him joining this movie unless he knows it's going to be good. the villain from 2012 everyone still talks about, that was well developed in the movie, that had a great amount of screen time, that ruled the screen whenever he was there, was wasted...wasted...tell me about the lizard and loki again? Did they age well?

Ali, The Pursuit of Happyness, focus, fresh prince hes very charismatic and likable. I look forward to him. And Cara Delevign was good in papertowns, and still rising with Squad and Pan

@dannramm113 - Yes sir. Pursuit of Happyness is one of my favorites of Will's. The other favorite of mine is 7 pounds with Rosario Dawson.
I don't mind his role as Deadshot, seeing as how Joker and Harley will be the leads(In my opinion).

Yes. He is memorable. From his quotes ("the fire rises" "i will break you") to his "stupidly memorable voice", to even his mask. And did everyone forget that catwoman is a murdering thief? Like seriously, what difference does it make that catwoman shot him with a missile? Is it okay that pepper potts killed obidiah stane and aldrich killian? And she isn't even a badass like catwoman mind you. So yes, bane in tdkr is mwmorable, from his quotes, to his plan, to his voice, to his mask

Tom Hardy is the best. I would love for him to be in the MCU. If not, DCEU will suffice. I'm glad he dropped out of the Rick Flagg role, he deserves a big roll.

In a perfect world, he would be MCU's Wolverine.
