Whoa! That Superman Statue Is Enormous - BATMAN V SUPERMAN Set

In Pontiac, Michigan the construction of various sets and the filming of scenes for Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice continued. Below, you will find a few more images of the set as well as a video with the LexCorp chopper landing. The most interesting image is the once showing the immense scale of the Superman statue, which according to a source for Batman-News which will be apart of a ceremonial scene marking the two year anniversary of Metropolis getting wrecked saved by the Man of Steel.

Update: thebananadoc.wordpress.com is reporting that the Superman statue was actually dismantled today.

BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE - Zack Snyder will direct. It's written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. The film stars: Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The cast also includes: Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Ma Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Since the movie supposedly takes place 2 years after the events of MoS, I can some-what see how (In those years) he's proven himself a hero. Though I could still make the argument he doesn't exactly deserve one. Whatever, the statue is big. Maybe a but too big?
