About 24 hours ago we got the breaking news that Wonder Woman has been cast, and it's Gal Gadot.
Now let's start with the casting. Even thought Gal Gadot wasn't my first choice (for a long time I thought that Gemma Arterton would be the perfect Wonder Woman), I have to disagree with the internet, and say that Gal isn't a bad choice. First of all, most people will hate any choice, and that's because so many people on the internet don't have an actual opinion, they just say what others say. People hated the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman, but I think it's a great choice (again not my first choice, but I do believe Affleck is a great actor, and his Daredevil days are long past). I remember that when Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker, no one thought he will be good, but hell, the man showed as a all new level of acting. So I think it proves that people are quick to judge casting choices, and you can never really know how the actors will be in the movie, especially a year and a half before the movie is even came out.

Now people cry and complain on the fact that Gal is to skinny, some even said that she can't be Wonder Woman because she had an accent and also she has small breasts. And few even said that Wonder Woman can't be played by a Jew (God help us all).

Well, yes it's true, Gal is skinny, but I don't remember the "fan-boys" saying that Jaimie Alexander is too skinny. And Jaimie is just as skinny as Gal (and she doesn't have bigger breasts either).

The only reason people want Jaimie to play Wonder Woman is because she played Sif in Thor. This is the same reason why people want Bryan Cranston to play Lex Luther, because he was bald in Breaking Bad. Not saying that Cranston shouldn't be Lax, I would love to see him in the movie, but just because someone is bald or was bald on some movie, automatically means he should play Lax. Now going back to Jaimie, I don’t have anything against her. But I wasn’t really impressed by her in the Thor movies, and I don’t really want Wonder Woman to be played by someone who already is playing a similar character in the Marvel movies.

There are also people who saying that Gina Carano must be Wonder Woman. Why? because she look like her, because she has the “body”, because she looks strong and big. There is only one problem there, Gina isn’t an actress, she is an MMA fighter. She was only in two movies. She stared in Haywire, but she was really bad, and some of her dialog was made by a voice actress. In Fast and Furious she was a minor character, and barley had lines, and for good reason. This is the same thing happened with Scott Adkins, his fans said he must play Batman. But he can’t carry a role like Batman, and you can’t compare him to Affleck. So what do people prefer, an MMA fighter that trying to become an actress or an actual actress? You can work hard in the gym and have a bad-ass body, buy learning to be a good actress is much harder.

Now, Hollywood is very good in making actors to look bigger, and few months in the Hollywood gym would defiantly make Gal look bigger and more like Wonder Woman. Just look at Antje Traue who played Faora in Man of Steel, she was totally bad-ass, and I believe that Gal can be too. And don’t worry, they can use movie magic to make her boobs look bigger (for all of those that see this as a problem), they have done this before many times with many actress.

My actual concern here is if out new (and first cinematic) Wonder Woman can act. To be honest, I didn’t saw that much of great acting skills from Gal in the Fast and Furious movies, but let’s be fair, no one there really came to show-off their acting. Even Luke Evans was very generic in these movies, so I can’t really say anything about Gal’s acting. But I do trust in the WB and Zack Snyder, and I believe they didn’t cast Gal only because of her good looks. Wonder Woman is an Amazon, so she can’t look and sound too American, and so maybe Gal will be the perfect woman for the role.
So with this out of the way, I have to talk about something else. Lots of people saying that this movie is no longer a Man of Steel sequel and they just need to call it Justice League. Look, I think that Wonder Woman will be in the movies for about 15 minutes, probably even less, and Gal won’t even wear the suit. I think she will be there only so the audience could see her before her own stand-alone movie or the Justice League movie. I also don’t think that any other superhero in this movie (other than Superman and Batman) will be there for too long. Even if we see the Flash of Aquaman, it will be only as a short cameo.

In the end of the day, people will rush to see this movie anyway. Other than The Avengers, this is the biggest comic book movies ever. We get two of the greatest superheroes facing off on the big screen, for the first time (and we also get some more Justice League heroes in there), and you can’t go bigger than this. Superman vs. Batman is a movie that people were waiting for, and I believe this movie will be one of the biggest and most successful movies of 2015 (the other two are Avengers 2 and Star Wars).
I believe this one will make the billion dollars, a finally lunch the DC cinematic universe, and we will finally get the movies that we all been waiting to see: Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Justice League and more.

You should not be compraing Sif and Faora to Wonder Woman. Diana should be much stronger than both of those characters and Gal is even skinnier than any of those girls before the movies. Also, have you ever seen Scott Adkins act. I'm not saying that he has a lot of talent but i don't think you've ever seen a film with him starring in. Also, i think his life experience his very similar to that of batman. A good Director would tap into that for his perfomance and help him nail the role. I don't think any of the actresses proposed by most fans are capable. I think i have the best choice but I'm holding off for my own article about her movie.

I kinda see it. What I do know is that Snyder is usually right on the money with casting, from Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach to Henry as Superman, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Pretty much, whenever there's a big news day(s), one has to wait about a week before submitting their articles.

Why? Because if you don't, your work will be buried beneath the same repetitious blog-type editorials responding immediately to whatever announcement.

Facts are facts. She's a pretty face. She was Miss Israel. She's been picked from Fast and the Furious, and although that may be a very shallow perspective on her acting talent, her delivery of lines in clips from the two movies is flat and dull. She has no energy, no enthusiasm. She's 120 and 5'9. She has no hips. She did her mandatory two-year service in the Israeli army (which just speaks volumes about how badass they must be *sarcasm*).

Did I expect someone ugly? Obviously not. I'm actually surprised that they went with someone nearly 30, seeing as how Hollywood tends to cast any younger actress they can find. But I did expect someone who would sell us on the character, who would be able to give off the energy (not just sexual energy) of a woman who trains in all kinds of combat on a daily basis for fun.

I was thinking someone like Janina Gavankar.
She has no accent, despite her heritage. She's a fangirl. She's tall(ish). She's played violent characters. She's also appeared on Arrow as a love interest (who gets shot by Huntress).

Thank you... I've been saying the exact same things to all the people quick to burn Gal to the ground over on Youtube. Only thing is, none of these people are going to listen to reason.
"She's too skinny"
Yeah, that's why we have gyms.
"She doesn't have blue eyes"
Contacts?
"Her breast are too small"
You mean compared to the over exaggerated comicbook drawings of both male and female superhero's anatomy? Yeah, they're going to be small by comparison. She's human, not a robot. Why so fixated on the boobs anyways? Anyways, they can make them look bigger; I've seen flat chested girls, make it look like they have double d's.
"Jamie Alexander was a better choice"
I can't say much about the acting of the two, but far as their anatomy goes, they both are skinny/slim and have small breast.

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. Make a shallow observation, get a shallow rebuke.

None of this covers the real concern - which is: can she act?

Can she act? This is the one thing I don't try to defend when I'm defending Gal's casting. Which I really don't defend her casting, but I defend her against the reasons people come up with, for why her casting was a fail. Anyways, the reason I don't defend her acting because Fast 4-6 are the only films I've seen her in. I like the Fast franchise, but I'll admit, the acting is not the reason why, which I think they know acting isn't people main concern when coming to see these movies, so they focus less on it. This is why I can't defend her acting, because it's mediocre in the Fast franchise, but I do not know if it's due to poor writing, poor direction, or her own acting skills.

Could be all three. My focus is on enthusiasm. Watch the video I posted above, and try and picture Gal Gadot having as much fun talking about.... well, anything,

I would, youtube is being a p.o.s right now though. All I know is that I'm willing to give her a chance, because personally I think she has the face for Wonder Woman, and I think 2-3 months hitting the gym with a professional trainer will give her the body. I don't really care about the breast, but I know they could give her the comicbook basketball boobs, everyone is crying over, with a little movie magic. Soon as I get some footage of her acting as Wonder Woman, then I'll make my real decision.

Many actors that are fancast for various roles are Jewish (Natalie Portman, Logan Lerman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Paul Rudd, etc., and of course Andrew Garfield is). So that is common enough.
