Past reports have already revealed the team's roster, but a lot of the story details on the Birds of Prey movie remain under wraps. However, the folks at Discussing Film got their hands on a rumored synopsis, which may explain the team's mission and reveal whether Harley Quinn is still with the Joker.

"After splitting up with The Joker, Harley Quinn and three other female superheroes – Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya – come together to save the life of a little girl (Cassandra Cain) from an evil crime lord."

Again, this is just a rumor, but the part about the heroes coming together to rescue Cassandra Cain lines up with previous reports. That said, the reveal that Harley and the Clown Prince of Crime have split up is a new detail and would explain why the other superheroes would work with the villain.

Sounds pretty cool, but I still dont understand why Harley Quinn fits into this

Harley doesn't really belong in this team. Feels odd.
But considering how popular she is, I can see why they made the decision to include her.

I still hope the movie focuses more on Canary, Huntress and the others.

Messy. Is this what we will see before Harley vs. Joker or Suicide Squad 2? Who knows what will end up getting made but if this picks up after Suicide Squad, which ends with Joker rescuing Harley, doesn't make much sense. I hope they take the fans' criticism going forward after retconning Joker and Harley's relationship to an actual tumblr-inspired loving one and not the one-sided abusive one from the comics/originally written. But hell, I have zero faith at this point. WB is on par with Sony to me, only it's worse because they keep consistently shitting on their own property. They're not sharing it with the real owners.

@zachman2013 - I would like to see Suicide Squad 2. I feel with David Ayer out of the way a sequel could be much better. But other than that I agree with you on this list.
