Black Adam arrived in theaters last month, and while it's been a hit with many DC Comics fans, it wasn't quite the home run Dwayne Johnson promised. A formidable new anti-hero has joined the DCU, though whether the hierarchy of power in this shared world has really changed remains to be seen under the new regime at DC Studios.

The movie further explored the DCU's magical side, elaborating on what we've seen in the likes of Shazam! and Wonder Woman 1984. While Black Adam somewhat contradicted what we'd seen in the former, The Wizard's return and the battle with Sabbac went some way in expanding the mythology in a movie that definitely prioritised action scenes over world-building

With Black Adam now available on Digital platforms after an HD copy of the movie leaked online, one eagle-eyed fan has noticed that it featured a cameo from an obscure Superman foe.

As you can see, Blaze made her official debut in the movie during a scene explaining Sabbac's role in the story. In the comic books, she made her first appearance in the pages of 1990's Action Comics #655 from Roger Stern and Brett Breeding and, along with her brother Satanus, is the human/demon hybrid child of The Wizard, Shazam.

That character is played by Djimon Hounsou in the DCU, so we're a little surprised that wasn't referenced in any way. Of course, it is just a simple Easter Egg for hardcore fans, and not something overly relevant to the plot.

Rumour has it Black Adam 2's script has already been written, and if that movie does happen, perhaps the plan would be to focus on Blaze and her brother. If so, we do hope the VFX used to bring them to life is better than what Sabbac got for this first movie's final battle.

Did you catch Blaze's cameo in Black Adam? Either way, you can check it out in the Tweet below.
