BLACK ADAM Star Dwayne Johnson Reveals Why He Won't Run For United States President In 2024

Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson is someone many people would love to see make the leap from Hollywood to the Oval Office, but the pro wrestler turned actor has now revealed why that won't be happening.

Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson is one of the most beloved actors working in Hollywood today. He commands a massive social media following and comes across as incredibly likeable and an all-around great guy.

It's no great surprise then that there's been talk of him one day running for United States President, following in the footsteps of other popular celebrities who have found their way into the Oval Office. However, The Rock has now confirmed he isn't looking to make the leap into politics in the near future.

Talking to CBS News recently (via ActioNewz.com), Johnson confirmed he currently has no plans to run for President, explaining that he instead wants to focus on his children. He'd add to that by saying, "being a father to my little girls is the most important thing in my life. To raise 'em and always be there, during these critical years in their life."

"I know what it’s like to not be there all the time as a father, because of an unrelenting work schedule," he continued, presumably referring to his own father, pro wrestler Rocky Johnson. "I won’t let that happen ever again. Choosing parenting over presidency."

Interestingly, Johnson pointed out that, "I’ve been approached by the most influential in politics on both sides of the aisle asking and supporting that I run for President." His previous support for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris suggested the actor is a Democrat, though he clearly has no intention to run for either party.

Johnson's children will grow up one day, of course, so there's nothing to say he won't eventually change his mind. Right now, that's clearly not on the cards for him, something fans of his work on the big screen - and in the wrestling ring - are likely to be glad of (especially with rumours swirling he's set to face Roman Reigns at next year's WrestleMania).

No more [frick]ing celebrities, and more options.

I mean Dwayne Johnson is great but… wow things are kind of pathetic if that’s still where the US is at after Trump. They still want a celebrity to run things? Not someone who knows what they’re doing? I meansure, politicians are the worst, but it you wanna hire a non politician, get a [frick]ing scholar or someone who has the background to make real change. Not a wrestler.

@connorblaze - from the look of things, between keeping Putin in check and slowing down the globalist green agenda that has bankrupt Ghana, Sri Lanka, Holland, etc. and is causing places like France, California, etc. to limit their electrical use during the day, as if it were Cuba and I should know, I think we need more of trump’s policies, not less. Yall are so worried about the man you can’t even give big ups to the lowest black in Latino unemployment, in decades versus what we have now, the highest inflation ever. And yeah, that inflation may be worldwide, but that’s because they were waiting for the leader of the free world to not want a free world, and they got it. Do I think Dwayne The Rock Johnson would be good just because he’s a celebrity? No, it’s not about the man, it’s about the policies, it’s not about how cool or racist he’s depicted. It’s about how his policies affect our pockets. Biden is not depicted as racist and yet he has said some super racist things and done some as well. Policy wise. People watch the rumors, but not the words and the actions, as if they do that with other people, it matters a little more when you’re talking about the President of the United States. And you’re very own livelihood.
Trump made real change. So did Biden. One of them made bad change and one of them made a good change, but are you willing to really look at it?

@OmegaDaGrodd - everybody had slavery, only the United States had the constitution that we have. by the way, Africa still have slavery. And the United States doesn’t. So does the middle least, and so does China. All right let’s talk about reparations. Covid money. What’s that got to do with anything? Well it was supposed to be spread for Covid. It is being spent for reparations. And maybe that is what was finally needed right? a backhanded way to finally get reparations is at least a way to get reparations. That is to say, the ends justify the means right? Considering that we’re talking about repaying slavery. Well, where exactly is that money going? We can’t just say oh good they’re doing reparations and leave it at that. No we have to see where it’s going. OK here’s where it’s going. It is going to Pay the bail bonds of black criminals. Byron and them have said that this is proper reparation, because slavery was such a crime. So another words we and I do include my black Cuban self, we deserve to pay for slavery. Because the crime that will result from doing whatever you want. , It’s going to fall on all of us. And I live right by in this past year. The crime has gone up 35 to 45%. Whoever speaks against this will be painted as racist because it is reparations. No, it is the further tearing down of society. They could’ve given that money to black mothers, black babies, black, old ladies, no, they give it to black criminals. Literally without any irony, or shame about it.

You can’t tell me you support that man, not when it literally results in the deaths of the people that supposed to pay back. Because yes, some white people may suffer. Is that the point? Revenge? The ones that were really suffer are the ones getting the free pass and the ones that live right by them, innocent black people that live near black criminals.

You can’t tell me that logic isn’t FUBAR

@TheWalkingCuban - No they aren't. Leftists are beyond reasonable help anymore. It's painfully obvious. Feels and squeals that's all they got. A healthy and independant U.S. be damned as far as they are concerned. It's superficial BS, that's their jam.
Could you imagine if Hunter had the last name Trump???

TheWalkingCuban - 10/11/2022, 4:12 PM
@Imprtracr1 - here’s the thing that a lot of people don’t know. A higher percentage of mentally ill people identify as liberal, than as conservative. Therefore, it stands there’s the thing that a lot of people don’t know. A higher percentage of mentally ill people identify as liberal, then as conservative. Therefore, it stands to reason that they cannot be reasoned with. Not only that, but their decisions will make increasingly less sense. That is currently the ruling class. How is that? Not scary? It’s certainly explains the No bail situation in Illinois. They don’t want to punish kids, now, they don’t want to punish adults either. Hunter is one such adult. As well as a ton of people on that side. A Latino politician woman just got in hot water, and had to resign from the city Council or something because of racist remarks that she was recorded, saying, and that lady was a BLM supporter. you see, BLM is not based off of racism, it is based on racism. I’m not one that just automatically agrees with Kanye West on the white live matter shirts though I will say it’s free-speech. Let him speak it, but my point is leave all that lives crap alone. He is making a point based off of a point that they came up with. I called that fruit of the poisonous tree. Because before BLM, we just lived. We just mattered. They created a division and we don’t need to play ball one way or the other. Because I’m not going to sit there all day and think of all the races that matter. That doesn’t mean I don’t think black or white matter, they both do. But the ideology comes from a bunch of communist that never helped any Black people, and that left neighborhoods worse than before they went there. Perhaps saying white lives matters is the only way to cancel that message but I think it’s just fighting fire with fire. Like I said, fruit of the poisonous tree. These people are insane and playing. Their game is not going to work, you simply have to do what’s right. Don’t say white, lives matter, make them matter. Don’t say black, lives matter, make them matter. And that’s the only thing that works. And it really will so you might as well batten down the hatches ha ha it’s scary out there cousin.

Why would you presume he's talking about his father when he's clearly talking about himself when he says "I know what it's like to not be there all the time as a father"?

Kumkani - 10/11/2022, 6:09 AM
@AC1 @Doomsday888 - Well in this case Wilding wouldn't be exactly wrong in making that assumption, considering the rocky (no pun intended) relationship Dwayne had with his father who was kicked out of his house when Dwayne was 13.
AC1
AC1 - 10/11/2022, 11:47 AM
@Kumkani - That's fair but it seems that it's pretty clearly not what he was saying given how he worded it, "I know what it's like... as a father" means he's talking about his own experiences and the incredibly busy life he leads juggling acting, producing, fitness, other business endeavours, and occasional returns to wrestling and how he feels that at times that has been overwhelming and kept him away from his family, and that he "won't ever let that again" or add more to the pile (like getting into politics) because it would take even more time away from him being able to be a dad.

Not disputing that his relationship with his own father may have been a factor in that, I don't really know anything about their relationship, I'm just pointing out that the article seems to be twisting the quote, whether that was just down to a genuine misunderstanding/misreading of the quote, or an intentional attempt to try and make the article seem deeper than it actually is.

That's a big YIKES!

Not sure he should be making decisions if these are they types he's made...
We all see the shit show that took an up trending, prosperous nation into the hellhole we currently have under the Biden Administration. There is literally no defending the leftists at this point so save your delusional breath and excuses. Just fk off.
The damage done in less than two years of leftist policy is astounding and we still have two years left of this garbage. It's insane.
Not Trolling.. just stating reality. Now, start your flame wars. I will ignore your dumbasses anyway.
