Another actor has thrown his name in the hat for Captain America!

And I'm pretty sure a lot of you will have a strong emotional reaction to this one...

Kellan Lutz of Twilight series fame(stop that convulsive reaction, a lot of guys out there likes twilight) has expressed his interest in donning the red, white and blue tights of Captain America.

Here's what he has to say:
"I'd love to be 'Captain America' someday."

That is after hearing that his fellow Twilight Hunk, is hankering for the role of Max Steel.

He also wants to be the younger brother of Matt Damon, well the younger brother of Jason Bourne anyways.
"Right now I just really want to be part of the ‘Bourne’ franchise and the more I say that, maybe Matt Damon will read it and maybe I can play his brother."

I'm willing too forgive his attachment to the Twilight series, if only because he was in Generation Kill. But no way is this guy Cap material.

I'm not saying he's a bad actor (he was actually one of the few in Twilight that could actually act, in my opinion), he's just not right for Cap.

I've never seen him (havn't seen the Twilight movies) so I can't judge. But just because he's been in Twilight means nothing.

I think Kristin Stewart is awesome in Adventureland, and she's in Twilight.

If he could do the role, why not? He looks more like Cap in that pic than Worthington does :P

Cap needs to be played by an actor who has strong screen presence. Can you see this kid ordering around Iron Man who is played by RDJ in the Avengers movie? NO. Of course not. He couldn't hold his own with the likes of RDJ or Edward Norton. You can't cast a nobody to play Cap. He needs to command the screen in every scene.

...that guy looks like he belongs in the Mickey Mouse Club or something.

fotc- Thanks man!!! That means alot actually :)) I was sure glad to have found not only a good pic but also a good 616 pic! Cap's been drawn so many ways in the past that it's really hard to find an actor that everyone agrees with. But like i've always said, i wouldn't bitch if Pitt landed the role. I love that guy ;)

I just realized I don't really have much respect for any of Twilight's cast members, since I only know them from those movies (which I haven't actually seen). They all better star in some other projects so I can see what they can really do.
