A few months ago, I created my article about how different the MCU would be if Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers: Infinity War had 2-3 post-credits scenes instead of one. People were expecting to see different mid-credits and post-credits scenes from Captain America: The First Avengers, Ant-Man and Doctor Strange, but instead we got scenes from the movies such as the Avengers, Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok.
I was sort of disappointed that they didn't show cut scenes from the films instead of reusing ones from the actual films. If they shot these type of scenes, they would either lead up to or take place after the scene they already shot. That would have spared us the archive footage from the future films. That would've also saved the scenes already shot to be a mystery until those films were actually released.
Today, I will be writing an article about differently the post-credits scenes in those films would've played out if Marvel didn't choose to shoot the scenes from the movies.
Captain America: The First Avenger: Set before the opening scene of Marvel's The Avengers, Thanos and the Other stand on a heap of rock on what appears to be a uninhabited moon. Thanos drums his fingers across the armrest of the throne impatiently, saying "He is not the only one capable of this task" "Thanks for your of confidence" says Loki Laufeyson(Tom Hiddleton) as he stands before them. The Other muses, "Ah, you've arrived". Loki nods, then grins wickedly "I was told you had something for me".
Ant-Man: While driving to Clint Barton's house, Sam Wilson tells Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes more about "the guy" he mentioned before and how they met and fought at the New Avengers Facility. As the trio are in Cilnt Barton(Jeremy Renner)'s house and they devise a plan with him to break Wanda Maximoff out of the Compound. Wilson says whoever created the Ant-Man suit for Scott Lang, he'll put it to good use for them and the "Accords" will not care about keeping heroes from "getting out in the danger world". Barton mentions that he's willing to help them for Wanda. And Rogers agrees and then he says if they're going to catch whoever caused "the bombing", they're going to recruit Ant-Man, but one of them has to do it. As the scene cuts to black, Barton sarcastically exclaims "Here's how I'm gonna shoot an arrow again." and Rogers selects Barton, saying "Here's how you're going to bring him in".
Doctor Strange: The scene opens as Thor is sleeping on an Asgardian bed, his head moving side to side eractically and muttering "No". As Thor wakes up from another dream about Surtur laying waste to Asgard, He then decides to end Ragnarok and save his home by traveling to Musepheim saying "Surtur... I saw everything. He has to be stopped.", leading up to the opening scene of Thor: Ragnarok.
What are your thoughts about this alternate post-credits scenes for Captain America: The First Avenger, Ant-Man and Doctor Strange?
