Captain America: The Winter Soldier has landed another premiere, this time in Cleveland, Ohio. The Rock and Roll capital of the world will host the Sentinel of Liberty's second outing on April 1st!
The placement of the premiere is a way of saying thank you to the city (where most of the film was shot). Here's what one half of the directing team, Joe Russo, had to say:

It has been a big priority of ours obviously to be able to have a premiere there and thank the people of Cleveland. We want to have a premiere that includes the local cast and crew and make some tickets available to the general public. It’s a way to say thanks and pay back the city for being such a great host.

The second half of the film's dynamic duo, Anthony Russo, also payed tribute to the city:

The city looks great on screen, thanks to the things that Ivan Schwarz has done in Cleveland, the industry is taking notice, and this is a way for the industry to support that.

The brothers claimed to be "unable to comment" when asked about the rumours regarding their involvement in a future Cap film.

That's cool for them to do. I wonder when the embargo will be lifted off of this film. Curious to what people have to say about it.

Im an hour and half away, Oregon, by Toledo. What do I have to do to go to a premiere? Sell my soul? I'll do it. For real though...this would be epic for me.

Really? Thought Marvel would be pissed with the city due to the numerous amounts of news agencies invading the set and leaking shitloads of set pics, potentially spoiling the film.

@BatmanNightwing Really?? I live less than a halfhour from Pittsburgh and I got fired from my job in 2011 trying to get there to catch 'The Dark Knight Rises' filming!!! I can't see how someone who lives within driving distance of a major CBM premiere wouldn't try to see it if they could....but if you're not a fan, okay...

I have friends in and around the Lakewood, Ohio area and I'm going to try and get tickets for the premiere.

Right on to Marvel for the Cleveland love!

I'm currently going to school 45 minutes away from Cleveland. I might make a road trip up there and see if I can score a ticket.

April 4, why? It's the first Marvel movie not openning a week earlier in Mexico and I think GotG won't either. Why?
Marvel hates México.

I drove to Cleveland while they were filming. Was on set for a couple hours but none of the stars were in sight. I recorded them shooting the scene when the Winter Soldiers men repelled off the side of the freeway shooting the bus. The bus you see Cap bust out of the back of in the trailer. Never uploaded it cause I couldn't find any of the stars. I was sad. :(

Live about 2 hours from Cleveland, went to the set while they were filming the freeway attack. Didn't see much, (Winter Soldier and stunt double, Cap's double, and either Anthony Mackie and or his double). Tickets are gonna be way to hard to get for this, but it would be awesome to go

They shot some scenes really close to my comic shop. The crew even used the shopping centers parking lot as a staging area.

That should be Cleveland's city motto: "Hey! At least we're not Detroit!"

supercat is right guys it should be flimed in DC , they wouldn't need to cast crimmals in it then . Would be cheaper just start fliming in the farms or 36 an minnesota after 8pm an u get AV level fight scenes ........................
