In a recent interview with Cinema Society Chris evans reveals that on the set Frank Grillo Hits for real. "Anytime you do a fight scene with him you’re going home with bruises,It’s supposed to be stunt fights. Frank goes for it. Extend your contract, Chris! Even if it's small team-up movies or the occasional Avengers flick. You are my generation's Captain America, suck the tit dry!

Is he just playing contractual hardball here for more money / influence in future Marvel movies? If he wants his own projects, then Disney should give him his choice of medium-budget films to direct after Avengers 3 in exchange for more Captain America appearances... Is that what you want, Chris?!

Means he MIGHT possibly return as Cap another Marvel movie

Maybe a cameo or supporting character

This is just me guessing after his contract is over

Is it my imagination or does this statement "By no means am I planning on retiring. It’s kind of a silly statement" contradict this statement: "I can’t see myself pursuing acting strictly outside of what I’m contractually obligated to do."
