In an interview with ContactMusic, actor Neal McDonough (who play Dum Dum Dugan) has said "Chris Evans is a a great Captain America":

"He's great in the role, a great guy, he's one of the people I'd love to work with every day. He's going to be someone you're going to be watching for a very long time. He's so dedicated to his craft, he works really hard."

McDonough added that he's excited to be part of Captain America's movie because he's a fan of the comics:

"I'm happy as I could possibly be to be a part of 'Captain America'. For an actor it's fantastic - for me as a kid 'Captain America' was one of my favourites - so to be Dum Dum it's just been a blast. I'm having a great old time killing the bad guys."

Neal, who was sporting his character's trademark moustache, when asked what is the most heroic or chivalrous thing he has ever done in real life proceeded to kiss his female companion and quipped "worth a climb every time."

Captain America will come out in 3D July 2011 and will be directed by Joe Johnston.

Chris Evans and Neal McDonough star in the movie along with Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Toby Jones, Dominic Cooper, Stanley Tucci and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

LOL... Well he wouldn't say he was SH1T thats for sure! : P

Nah, hopefully it'll be half good or more, just gotta wait for the trailer!

What I don't get is isn't he a bit too old for WWII DUM DUM?!?

Or hopefully its present day DUM DUM!

Damn, you just beat me to it Cyke! :) He's pretty much saying everything you'd expect here but it's stll good to hear that he'll be right in the action as Dum Dum! I'm still curious as to whether he'll also be in the present day movies like The Avengers...and will Fury also be there in WWII!? If so, how will they explain it? (non comic fans might find it a little hard to believe the whole "Infinity Formula" stuff after all!)

SLJ should never be in WWII...

I [frick]ing CRINGE at the thought! : D

Seriously no, that would ruin the entire movie for me.

(Keep it simple, have him the son of WWII FURY).
CapFanLex005
CapFanLex005 - 8/20/2010, 8:10 AM
I dont think SLJ will be in the past, his part may be the story teller or at then end when finds Cap. If nick Fury is in the WWII part he would have to be real young. If not most people wouldn't understand and it would ruin there continuity.

LEEE777 - 8/20/2010, 8:12 AM
CapFanLex005 @ I don't wanna break it to you but...the continuity is aready ruined...lets just hope they don't ruin it anymore, and I agree, ppl would just laugh if SAM was FURY in WWII lol!

Cyke89 @ I'm kinda hoping him not in it at all but yeah thats what I think too, the ICE scene, anything else would just suck... glad we've got THOR!

conformist21 - 8/20/2010, 9:28 AM
make some sort of good excuse for infinity formula, like you had to take the 1st vile to keep living on and taking the rest, cuz then it makes it seem like anybody could take it and live longer

Hope Chris is atleast a bit blonde cus that color is symbolic of Steve Rogers. If he had brown or Blck hair he would be Bucky. We do not want two Buckys right.

Ok, wouldn't it be more "news" worthy if he said Chris Evans was doing a TERRIBLE job? I mean these guys are trying to sell us a product so why would they tell us that it sucks?

I also heard from the other actors while filming "Daredevil" that Colin Ferrell was amazing. Same thing with Alicia Silverstone in "Batman and Robin"

Ask an impartial source next time
Julesimanerd
Julesimanerd - 8/20/2010, 10:42 AM
well he's in that movie, he wouldn't bash an actor in the movie he was in. he would say unkind things about him if the movie tanked hahaha
Ranger14
Ranger14 - 8/20/2010, 10:43 AM
Lee@ Nick Fury was a Sgt. leading the Howling Commandos in WWII. SLJ should be in WWII and that would rock! Your bias against SLJ is clouding your judgement as to what is best for the actual story and film. They better include Fury in WWII!
ManThing
ManThing - 8/20/2010, 10:48 AM
lol yep. What's he gonna say? If he had anything negative to report it would be tantamount to professional suicide to do so.

God I am dying to see a pic of Evans in costume!!

@ Everyone that's Being a Douche: Shut Up! lol

The movie is going well from the sounds of it. No sh!t hes not gonna say he sucks but it sounds genuine which means
a. He Thinks Chris is great and is loving it. Which is good news
b. He is a really good actor saying what he doesn't think and thinks Chris suck. Which is also good news, means Dum Dum is gonna rock.

@ LEEE: how is the continuity [frick]ed? You mean the comic Continuity? Movie Continuity? WHAT? Cause I Just Can't See It.
ManThing
ManThing - 8/20/2010, 10:56 AM
@ Ranger14: It's not Fury he's got a problem with. It's ULTIMATE Fury.

I can relate to that. I don't like The Ultimates either.

However there isn't any huge difference btween Ultimate and Classic Fury though ( or so I have been told). It's essentially the same character, so I'm ok with it.

Ranger14
Ranger14 - 8/20/2010, 11:49 AM
Juggernaut@ If people have a problem with the black Ultimate Fury, then so be it, but it doesn't have to impact the storyline and the facts of how things occurred. Whether Ultimate or not, Fury was present in WWII. It's okay to whine and cry some about the Ultimate Fury, but sooner or later Lee and others need to let it go. Nothing is going to change. I would rather see Fury in WWII than not see him in WWII...black or not.

ezio619@ You're not wasting our time. Welcome to the asylum! Just remember, you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!

@ Ranger: lol that's funny. I don't want to speak for LEEE, but it's got nothing to do with race.

It's about Ultimates vs. Classic. If classic Fury had been black, I suspect it would be the same. A

s for myself, everything I have ever seen or heard about Ultimate Fury is that he's exactly the same as classic Marvel U Fury and so I personally have no problem with it. His color is a non - issue.
