Captain America:The First Avenger.

In a portion of his interview with MTV, Chris Evans talks about his research for Captain America: The First Avenger.

"Absolutely, the comic books have been fantastic. Personally, when I was going through the comic books, the ones that were most intriguing were the origin stories. I just wanted to get as many different takes on how this guy started out."

"That's the story we're telling. I want to know who he was prior to this happening to him, and I think if that character is someone the audience can relate to, we win."

Hawksblueyes; I'm going to see if I can find the rest of this interview and post the entire thing at one time for everyone.

I love Chris Evans :) He really will do great - I never doubted him. I'm so excited for this!

But I love how much he throws around the 'F-word' - like when asked:

Interviewer: What's it been like for you to play Captain America?

Evans: It's been Fantastic :)

@InFamouslyCool: I was just wondering that - why doesn't MTV just post the whole freaking thing??

Wait wait wait wait... RemiMartini, I know what you're saying, but when an actor actually says that their research was based principally on the source material, I think we CBM fans should try and take this as a positive.

Besides, I'm sure he did some of the army training stuff, too.

@RemiMartini: Seriously?! That's the dumbest comment I've read here today.

First of all, he's an actor...not a soldier! I'm sure they received ample army training before filming.

People see Steve Rogers as the ultimate conservative, while in all actuality: he was into the leberal arts. Just sayin'.

@JJMeylar: What does it matter? Besides, the term 'Liberal Arts' has no political connotations... It has to do with rhetoric, music, astronomy, etc. Glenn Beck could have studied liberal arts in college for all we know...

I like Cap for the political ambiguity he signifies. He's definetely depicted in a non-partisan light for the most part - any shades of grey are due in part to whoever is writing him. Cap stands for the people - not the bureaucrats of Washington. He's the embodiment of ideals and concepts that no political party could represent.

@JJMeylar- Yep, a Liberal Arts core is required for any college degree. Nothing political about it.

@RemiMartini- I enlisted and it didn't help my acting one bit. : )

of course there is uncertainty about this movie. i must be insane, but i think it has something to do with how they haven't made the movie yet, and stuff. how it is, um, still a thing in production...

I'd hoped he'd done more, like read up on Audie Murphy who was as close as you can get to a real life Cap. But whatever, I know he'll be great.

@JJMeylar - You misspelled "Leberal", and your comment has no relevance.

Since it's still going there having to stretch the timebetween highhschool and adult superman. In order to keep it fresh they have to introduce people (jla) way before the mythos introduces them. I think from a creative standpoint they simply didn't think this far ahead.
