As it's known filming for Marvel's Joe Johnston-directed Captain America: The First Avenger film is openly underway in the Times Square of New York, the sequence will star Chris Evans, and the S.H.I.E.L.D-heavy 'Nick Fury' actor Samuel L. Jackson. And courtesy of EyePrime, heres high resolution images from the set.

The sequence, which could also be featured in Joss Whedon's crossover phenomenon The Avengers due to the "Group Hug" working title being spotted near the shoot, evidently follows Steve Rogers see our modern times for the first time. And somehow escaping SHIELD custody, who eventually catches up to him, and is then greeted by director Nick Fury. What do you think?

Anyhow, look for Captain America: The First Avenger in theaters July 22, 2011, and The Avengers May 4, 2012!

First of all, now the whole world knows there's actually an eye under the patch. The illusion is broken.
Second, Chris Evans is the most jacked person in the history of the planet.
Third, I thought for sure they would save his first time in modern day for Avengers and I hope the post-credits is Bucky being found too.

It's Samuel L. Jackson, I think everyone knows that he has an actual eye behind the patch regardless of these shots.

I wish Sam would have gotten in shape for this and the Avengers, I can still see the pudge in his stomach. That's something I wouldn't expect to see on Nick Fury and I couldn't stand seeing that on Iron Man 2. Maybe they'll digitally change it to make him look slimmer, or something. I would even be content with an old-fashioned girdle.

I honestly think this will be the opening scene, rather than an after credits scene. Samuel L Jackson is on the cast list for CA:TFA

If they wait until the end of the movie to just jump into his revival to modern day, it will be like a big haha you suck to the audience who actually got connected with the characters.

It would transition more smoothly if you have his revival, him recalling everything that has happened to him, then his acceptance of his new time.
