Paul and Lisa got in touch earlier today after heading down to the Captain America set in Manchester and took these great photos in order to give us all a better idea of the meticulous work that Marvel Studios have got these guys doing in order to make the street look as close to 1940's New York as possible! Included in the following pictures are:
•1940's street lighting going on
•Romero Barber shop sign
•The antique goods going in the store
•Bordered up houses vintage style at the back of the street
•Furniture in a 2nd floor store
•False road at the side of the street
•Newstand
•The pharmacy being built
•Side roads at the back also being prepared mangle street)
•The carpark that acts as a store with a marquee for the actors/extra etc
•The hotel front
•Windows being fitted, painted
•Curtain being fitted
•Display cabinet in the cigar shop
•Full picture of Dale street from both ends
Lisa has also just told me that they're going to try and take a look at the location Marvel are storing the vintage cars which will eventually line the streets of the faux New York. With filming getting nearer, they've also both promised to keep us updated throughout the week and will keep on taking pictures as the work there progresses! And I of course would like to finish by saying a HUGE thank you to them both for taking the time to head down there are get these photos for us!
